AIO: GRUBHUB DRIVER CLAIMED TIP.

Tonight I ordered off grubhub. With no drivers around and my delivery time getting pushed back an hour I decided to pick up my own food. I had talked with grubhub about picking it up myself and resolved it on my end.

About 30 minutes later I get a notification that someone is on my way to drop off my food. I called the guy as he was coming up my street asking what he was doing and that I went and got my food. He said why did you do that I was coming, mind you my delivery time was pushed back an hour.

Him and I went back and forth on the phone him mentioning that this isn't the first time he has gotten in trouble with grubhub. He was trying to get the code I told him no because he didnt delivery my food and he doesn't deserve the tip.

Eventually I just wanted to get inside and finish dinner. I told him I will be talking with grubhub and I read the code off to him.

He tried to call my phone again and came up to my door.

.

Should I have let him keep the tip even though he didnt delivery my food and tried to play it off like he did?

I went to olive garden last night and the waitress was attentive and pretty ok. She was always nearby if we needed her, otherwise she was just ok. Well my husband decided to pay early on the kiosk to get it out of the way and tipped 10%, that's our usual. After that we never saw her again. We Just needed to go boxes but she wouldn't come to our table anymore. My husband had to go to the back of the restaurant to ask for to go boxes for our leftovers. I'm so tired of the entitlement over tipping. We still tipped her and that was how we were treated.
