A streaming quality tip

Just wanted to share a little tidbit that I discovered a few months back: if you’re like me and stream from the phone app to your TV, the quality is remarkably better using Airplay vs Chromecast. It’s night and day. Hope this helps!

Thoughts on this allocation mix?

-25% SCV (FRCSX) (in 401k and is my only SCV option/roughly holds 2-3% intl equivalent in my total portfolio, so roughly 10-11% EM when combined with my AVES)
-20% devInt (FSPSX) (only option in 401k)
-8% EM (AVES)
-Remainder VTI/FXAIX

Best way to mate this dryer vent together?

As the title reads, what’s the best way to do this? The source is on the left with air flowing right. The right side has a smaller diameter than the left side but seems bendable to where I could possibly bend it over the left side. Previously, it was slid into the left side and then caulked around. The caulking failed after 5yrs of heat cycling. I have some foil tape that’s good up to 200F, would that do the job?

EDIT: videos of vent routing in comments.

2025 and newer 1500s, question for you about an issue I’m having.

Guys,

I have a 2025 Ram 1500 Warlock (Hurricane). When I first bought the truck, I noticed the truck would stay in 4th when it should’ve been downshifting into 3rd slowing down to turn. It would make the motor lug when I’d get back on the gas. Had the dealer do all TSBs and reset the trans. Fast forward to now, 5k miles later. It still does this, and I’ve noticed another symptom: when slowing to a stop, the truck will drop the rpms to 450-500rpm when going from 4th to 3rd. It won’t do it in any other gear. When that happens, the AC blips warm for a second (I guess the rpms are bogging too low for the compressor to do its job). Anybody else experiencing this? Everything else is great!

2025/2026 Ram 1500 Transmission Programming Issue?

Guys,

I’ve been experiencing this since I purchased my 2025 Ram 1500 Warlock. The dealer reset the trans software once, and while it feels smooth, I notice one thing remains:

The torque converter locks out in 4th gear and the truck refuses to downshift, often lugging the motor which creates a very unpleasant sound below 1k rpms. I’ll usually just continue slowing down to force a downshift to 3rd or manually tab down into 3rd gear, but has anyone else experienced this? If I’m in 5th and add throttle, it’ll happily downshift. If I’m in 3rd, it’ll freely spin the revs up to 2k until it locks out. Just curious if this if unique to my truck.
