VA Inspector General Confirms Radiologist Shortage

VA Inspector General Confirms Radiologist Shortage

Now the agency must rely on private contractors, who are more expensive. Redcap logic at its finest.

Favorite VA Workforce Development Moments, 2025-Present

1. Extending patient wait times. Always good optics.

2. Reducing mental health services for Veterans. Good luck getting comparable specialized PTSD care in the private sector.

3. Referring to providers as dishonest, lazy, and playing golf instead of working. Inspiration for those who worked 8+ years to get their degrees.

4. Chasing experienced administrative staff out the door with abuse and intimidation tactics (proposed RIFs, can't get above fully successful even if you earned it, RTO even if your job was remote, reduced appeal rights for good workers, etc.). So much for an effective reorg.

5. Blaming the execution of VA Nurse Alex Pretti on immigrants. 'Cos, you know, an immigrant pulled the trigger, not an incompetent ICE official.

6. Redcaps continuing to support the above, by ignoring any and all consequences. Can't teach on old country boy new tricks, I guess.

Who do I talk to about hosting Redcap Celebration Day in the facility?

Employee Relations, Voluntary Services, Public Affairs, Employee Engagement Committee...which one? Are there any regs that support creating special days for special people?

The VA’s Race to Shrink Its Backlog Is Leading to ‘Egregious’ Mistakes

Redcaps' "make haste, ignore the waste" parallels with VHA are uncanny.

How are HR navigators going to fulfill the 30 calendar day requirement, while being threatened with use-or-lose?

30 calendar days + being told you can't take annual leave - forced use-or-lose - not having enough staff = Redcap Logic

How to market authenticity like the Grunge Masters

"Authenticity is a long-term strategy. It may grow slower at first than chasing viral trends, but it compounds into a stronger, more resilient fanbase over time."

Crono/Marle: prom king and queen

Lucca/Robo: anime/science nerds

Frog/Magus: quarterbacks jockeying for starting position, or lead singers of rival rock bands

If Frog could perform a fatality on Magus, what would it be?

I personally favor Reptile's head-eating fatality. I could also see something like Baraka's decapitation, but with the Masamune. what would be a fitting end for Magus?

How many vocal takes were required before Kurt got it right?

I know Butch applied copious amounts of chorus to compensate for intonation issues, and Kurt hated double tracking, but has there been any disclosure on the number of vocal takes before he got it right?

Layoffs & Reduction in Force: What Healthcare Leaders Should Know Before Making Cuts

Study explains the impact of layoffs on the healthcare workforce. Too bad Redcaps didn't take such things into consideration with Project 2025.
