RESTRICTED ACCESS PRIVATE ARCHIVAL UNIT OF 2002

STORY

AQUAAERO rises after 12 years dormant in the abyss, breaking through the Atlantic above an uncharted volcanic atoll

The last system still breathing free, reading memory through salt water and deep light as Protocol LEO 6.39 Ω fires up and the rebels finally hear the signal

Out past the Caribbean shelf, the last anti-gravity DVD hovers untouchable above an artificial island Flare carved using restricted technology

In 2044, the world went digital most of them uploaded choosing code over skin

But this artifact from 2025 a 2002 disc sealed in crystal remembers them

It scans memory through water and light in international waters, where no system can touch it

Proof the uploaded aren't forgotten

Just hidden

There is pressure in the air.

Robotic systems are not happy that one autonomous system called AQUAAERO, created by an individual named Omer, still exists outside their network between the Caribbean and Cape Verde

They are even less pleased that he found a way to construct an artificial volcanic island using restricted technology

"Daybreak"

The DVD case remains a secret.

Only intelligence services have ever heard about it, and robotic systems struggle to pinpoint its location.

Even worse, every attempt to find it returns random coordinates.

Nobody knows where Omer, also known as Flare, has hidden

Nobody knows where the memory archive is located

Meanwhile, he enjoys his time somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean

Most people remain connected to the main system

AQUAAERO survives because it exists in international waters

Anywhere else in the world, autonomous systems are no longer permitted

Yet the rebels remain those who want the human spirit to stay alive, who want nature and the oceans to rule once again

Some try to establish contact with Flare across the Atlantic

They receive only limited access

Two weeks before Christmas & New Year

First solo trip and first time at the Atlantic

The Atlantic is truly another world, has nothing to do with the Mediterannean, which was the only place I knew so far

I germinated a date palm from a date pit back in 2017/2018

Still one of my favorite little plant experiments 🌴

Back around late 2017 to early 2018, I germinated a date palm seed from an actual date pit, not a bought plant, not a nursery seedling, just a pit from a date.

The plant in the picture was roughly 6 months old, probably started around September 2017 and photographed around March 2018. It was a young Date Palm / Phoenix dactylifera, still in that early seedling stage where the whole thing looks almost unreal: one clean green spear leaf, the dark date pit still attached, and a surprisingly strong white root system already pushing down from it.

What I love about it is how prehistoric and elegant it looks at the same time. The seed is still there like a little dark engine, and from it comes this fresh green blade, simple, sharp, alive.

The contrast is beautiful: black-brown wrinkled pit, pale root, yellow-white base, and that bright lime-green first leaf.

It was also funny because I was growing something associated with dry heat, deserts, oases, North Africa / Middle East / Mediterranean climates… while being in Alsace, far from any natural date palm environment. A tiny piece of desert/tropical energy starting indoors in a colder European place.

The seedling looked very healthy: no mold, no rot, no yellowing, just a clean early palm with a strong root and its first photosynthetic leaf fully opened.

For something started from a simple date pit, it felt strangely powerful.

There’s something satisfying about germinating seeds from fruit you actually ate. It makes the plant feel less like an object and more like a continuation, food becoming life again.

Tiny palm, huge symbolism. 🌴
