[US] Question about the website Techable.com

I ordered a Macbook Pro off a website called techable yesterday and my card was charged without any fraud warnings.

Today I received an email saying:

I did not receive a temporary authorization charge/code on my card/bank statement so I emailed back saying I did not receive one and if there was another way to verify.

They sent me this next:

I did an AI Google search to see whether it was safe to send this type of screenshot, since I have never been asked to provide one after purchasing something before. Gemini told me that the request appeared to be a scam.

The email address they contacted me from is the same email address listed on the website. I also called the phone number listed on the website because I wanted to speak with someone directly. I had to leave a voicemail, but they did call me back. During the call, they told me that if I wasn't comfortable sending a screenshot of my bank account/charge or providing the confirmation code, they could instead add me on LinkedIn to verify that I am who I say I am.

I asked Gemini about the LinkedIn option as well, and it said that this could also be a continuation of the scam intended to obtain additional personal information.

My order on Shop. com currently shows "Confirmed – We are preparing these items for shipping," with an expected delivery date of 8/19. However, the email I received from Techable says they cannot ship my order until I provide the requested confirmation information or add them on LinkedIn.

I'm trying to determine whether this is a legitimate security precaution that Techable uses to protect themselves against chargebacks and fraudulent purchases, or whether someone is actually attempting to scam me.

I have already locked my card as a precaution.

Any information about this website, Techable, or whether this type of order verification is a legitimate practice would be greatly appreciated. I'd especially like to know whether anyone else has experienced being asked to provide a bank/transaction screenshot or connect with the company on LinkedIn before an order would be shipped.

Forgot to post this 6 years ago... figured it's finally time

I made this edit back in the day before life got busy. It's crazy how fast time passes but I wanted to share this anyways before another 6 years goes by.

Casual 1v5 clutch and the crowd goes mild

Ended up clutching a 1v5 during my 25k promotional match, and the entire lobby was so focused on arguing about the enemy team having/not having a hacker that literally not a single person said anything about the clutch lol

First Time Electrical Build (After Reddit Feedback)

https://preview.redd.it/a1ehq5b6sg5h1.jpg?width=4171&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec080a68febad79c7442be8f246150335bc4591c

Alright fellas, I posted my first electrical layout a few days back to get some feedback on how everything looked. From that feedback, I looked through some of the equipment manuals for fuse sizes (instead of relying on GPT/Gemini) and adjusted those accordingly. I also removed the 2 bus bars I originally had and added a lynx distributor instead to make everything a little cleaner.

The fuses (amps) on the positive wires will be the fuse size (mega) that will be inside the lynx distributor for each wire coming in. I've also added a couple 2 pole breaker switches from the mppt's to the solar and from the multiplus-II to the shore power outlet.

I'm interested to hear more feedback on what I can make better before ordering all my parts. I tried to label everything (1, 2, 3, etc) to help make the diagram easier to follow along. Thanks in advance!

First Time Electrical System Build

https://preview.redd.it/i0o49khb8r4h1.jpg?width=1150&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a873113a279a7e340c6d3f5c044f8664f24ab601

I've been torturing ChatGPT and Gemini and making them cross-reference and double check the others work. In the end, this is the system I've settled on for my build but wanted to run this by you guys in case anything looks out of place. Some people have told me to replace the fuses with breakers, some have told me I don't need fuses but this is what the all knowing AI instructed me to do. General info, 1000W solar, 24v system, starter battery fuse within 7" from battery, the rest is kind of easy to follow along (I hope). Any feedback is much appreciated.
