Looking for a 1-room studio apartment

Hey guys,

I am going to start my masters at THI in October, 2026. Looking for a 1-room studio apartment for a minimum period of 1 year.

Budget: 500 euros/month

Alternatively, I am open to a larger 2 room apartment (Budget: 1000-1100 euros), since I also have a friend who can move in with me (he's also a student the same age as me)

Thanks!

Selling my Seiko 5ACTUS [Timestamp: Yes] [Price:Yes]

Shown here is a Seiko 5ACTUS JDM. Has the familiar 7019 movement with a dual language day display (English and Kanji)

- Original dial (with some patina), case and bracelet (with the ACTUS logo)

- Serviced recently and is keeping time well. The day change needed the crown to be pushed a bit harder than usual which was corrected

Selling it since I can't really connect to the watch. I would much rather have it go to someone who uses and values it.

Price: Rs. 3,990+shipping (negotiable)

HMT DayDate from the 1970s

Bought this DayDate Automatic recently. I have been told by some that it is recased. However, when the back cover was opened, last service date was 1977.

Is this a pilot case or is this case correct for this dial? The watch also has the HMT stamped crown and Citizen movement from Japan.

Also, my friend has the exact same watch down to the last detail. I actually saw his watch and decided to get this 😅

Bajaj Super/Chetak

Hey guys, I am looking for a cheap project scooter to work on. I don't want one which has run to the ground or has rusted through though.

But old abandoned ones like the one shown in the image will do. I am a college student so don't have a very high budget.

Prefered models include Bajaj Super, Bajaj Priya and early Chetaks. If you have any leads, please DM me.

Thanks!

TH Ingolstadt IAE acceptance

I got a letter of acceptance from THI for International automotive engineering yesterday. Just for reference, I received my VPD on 7th May, applied through the portal on 12th May, got an interview invite on 21st May and appeared for the interview on 28th May.

I see a lot of people saying they got admits, but no one elaborated on what to expect during the interview or such. I will start with my profile (which is honestly nothing great😅)

- B.tech Electronic engineering with honours in IOT and Automation

- 7.12 CGPA

- IELTS score 8 bands

- Multiple Automotive hands-on projects which I have documented in great detail

Coming to the interview, they first checked if I was truly motivated to pursue the course and then proceeded to ask me basic questions wrt my bachelor's. Majorly related to electronics and a couple related to modern physics. I believe these questions will differ based on what your Bachelors is.

To anyone who's looking to apply for THI or any German uni, my analysis:

- Try and apply as early as possible. I somehow feel this notion that all profiles are evaluated equally irrespective of when they are submitted, is false. In the end, it's 20-25 seats against 1000+ applicants. If you have all documents in hand, apply ASAP. Also for those who are applying for the next intake, ensure you apply for VPD well in advance. The last thing you want is delays because it didn't arrive on time. ETA for VPD increases from 3 weeks to 5-6 weeks during the application window.

- More than CGPA (matters only if the uni has explicitly mentioned a cut-off under requirements), what matters is course fit. They want to gauge how much your bachelor's subjects match up with their course. Go through your bachelor's syllabus and their course syllabus to figure out if you have chances.

- Many unis (THI also) ask you to fill out a form which demands you map out your bachelor's subjects against what they want. This should also tell you if you are a good fit for the program

Never give up hope. And never get dejected if your application is turned down. I went through 2-3 rejections before being accepted at THI (a course which I ironically always wanted but thought would be out of reach due to my CGPA).

If you have read this far, thanks!

TH Ingolstadt

What does this mean exactly? The course I have selected has a document verification/course fit stage and an interview stage following which selection occurs. Does this mean I have passed the first stage or is it ongoing?

Thanks!

TH Ingolstadt International automotive engineering

I received my VPD for TH Ingolstadt and am going through a consultancy for finishing formalities. My consultant claims work experience is needed for TH Ingolstadt.

I remember reading it was needed for other courses. However, I don't see the official page saying it is needed for International automotive engineering. It just says 180ECTS is the requirement. Could someone please shed light on this?

I do have work experience, but having a letter issued by my employer will be a long drawn procedure. I would want to avoid it as far as possible.

Thanks

I received my VPD for TH Ingolstadt. My German grade comes to 2.4. I have applied to Kiel (E-Pico), Siegen (Mechatronics) and Esslingen (Automotive systems). I have a confirmed admission at HAN, Netherlands where I can pay up till 1st June.

I won't delve into what my chances are at each uni etc. All I want to know is:

When does TH Ingolstadt generally release results? I was told it's very late sometimes (mid-July)

In that case, does it make sense to wait for Ingolstadt or shall I opt for HAN as a fallback and partially pay my fee? if I cancel HAN after 15th July, I loose my Visa application, administration and a month's worth of rental fee. Esslingen seems to be a tough one considering my GPA and maybe my profile (I am an electronics engineer, not a mechanical or automotive bachelor)

Thanks!
