I just watched Good Boy last night with my family, and I’m obsessed with how “shaped” this breed is. This is probably my first time hearing about Tollers too! Indy is definitely a Good Boy, and I love how he actually got a Best Performance award at a film festival. I also love how my dude was vibing throughout the movie and just being himself and still appearing convincing to his film counterpart. My mom actually pointed out how little Indy vocalized, which I assumed was a breed characteristic. Even without making a whole lot of vocalizations he was extremely expressive!

Since I only know about the breed through Indy’s performance, I wanted to know more about them! I read that Tollers are still vocal in their own ways through whines and screams, but other than that (and they’re supposed to resemble foxes to draw in ducks) I don’t know much! I’m sure not all Tollers act the same and it varies by individual, but I’d still like to hear what Toller keepers think of em!

hi yes it’s me, I come bearing the gift of another crossover, except it‘s Sally Face this time. Its 10 year anniversary came up recently along with the announcement of a second game, so to celebrate I’ve made my interpretation of what the boye would look like if he put on the headset. The timeline is kind of wonky and I’m not sure if I’ll include the rest of the four horsemen, but right now, the lore goes as: Sal (blue hair), Todd (ginger), and Larry (brown hair), go investigating a recently abandoned C&A facility to ensure the DOG cult didn’t have anything to do with its collapse. This takes place in 1999, so sometime before the events of Episode 4 but after C&A ceases their operations. They find the headset, and Sal tries putting it on to see if it works. >!It doesn’t look like it does and they go on about their lives, leading to the events of the apartments. I don’t know if I want this AU to include the apocalyptic events of Episode 5, so for the sake of the AU ignore that, Sal got life in prison no parole 💀. His mind file isn’t uploaded immediately, probably a glitch in the system, but X amount of years later, before Zooble’s arrival,!< Dolly is created and appears in the circus like it happened immediately.

Slide 15- Dolly’s REVISED room post episode 9 when he’s able to >!conjure a room he’d actually enjoy sleeping in.!< Certain objects he created that made him feel comfortable/ cat bed but no cat, movie and band posters, wall and flooring reminiscent of his apartment room. Used HomeByMe for these designs because I suck at designing rooms from scratch.

There’s more about the AU I want to share, but I don’t want to overshare. I am pretty fond of this concept and would love it if people asked about it. It would make me very happy 💕💕💕 I’d definitely like to make speculative circus avatars for the other characters of Sally Face, even if the vast majority of them wouldn’t be canon.

BTW, before anyone goes “Dawg that’s just Sal” LISTEN— he’s supposed to be a porcelain doll that’s been broken, hence the cracks n stuff. There were many, *many* concept arts of him before I settled on this one, and trust me, this is the most canon accurate design that makes him similar but separate.

This is Senshi, the sourdough squatter that my dad made a lil sign for as you can see on the side. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t rise when I feed it, and I’m worried it’s mad or sick. I feed once a week for a few hours after letting it warm up to room temperature, then I place it back in the fridge to sleep since I don’t do much baking. It’s too hot where I live rn. If it looks orangish or reddish in color, I think it might be because of its primary diet of bread flour instead of all purpose (I have a small bag of whole wheat bread flour I’m trying to get rid of because every bread I make with it tastes like play doh.) Aside from not rising, I don’t see any other warning signs. It still smells fine, and it produces hooch ok. It’s just the lack of activity, even though I let it warm up before I feed it.

Any advice? I have discard in the fridge that I could start over with if it doesn’t appear to be salvageable.

It’s unknown why that is, but an entire clan was built around this entrance to both guard it from the cats that seek to escape their torment, and to utilize it as a prison for cats they think are suited for such a place. This clan, RondeClan, is mostly oblivious to how bad it truly is in there, as nobody that goes deep enough ever comes out.

A cat named Suntalon uses an army of rogues to protect the clans, but he also sought to conquer them and unite the territories under one ruler. Unfortunately, he is slowly consumed by prophecies he receives in dreams, and ends up wiping out an entire tribe of wildcats in the mountains. This rightfully turned all of the clans against him, who then orchestrate a united front against the Kin of the Midnight Sun. Suntalon’s dream to unite the clans came true for a short time, but not in the way he wanted it to. The Kin are mostly destroyed, with stragglers fleeing to corners of the forest, and Suntalon is captured by RondeClan. For his crimes, he is sent to the Dark Forest, where his fate hangs by a thread. Four cats unwittingly part of a prophecy by StarClan head into the Dark Forest in search for Suntalon.

In this AU, the Old Gods are mostly the same as the ones in canon funger, except cats worship them along with StarClan instead of people. The New Gods are created when a cat goes to True StarClan and is granted their nine lives. Ascended gods are unchanged.

He has a bunch of it on his nose in particular because that’s where I feed his mealworms out, and he gets a little too excited for wormies ❤️

Zelda is the best chicken ever, hands down no contest. She comes when called, likes to hang out with people, and overall has a fantastic and hilarious personality. I’ve posted a couple times about her, once when I learned she has a strong dislike for chicks, and I think the other was me asking if I should’ve been worried that she’s never gone broody. She‘s a big hen, a cross between a barred rock and something else, and I got her as a young pullet in late 2022. I could go on and on about how much I love her and how great of a chicken she is, which is why I’m so worried about her right now.

My mom and younger brother went off to the property away from the house (she’s housed with her own flock on another property, it’s a long-ish story), and when they went there, she was walking around as usual. And we know she was around because my brother fed her a couple grapes as a treat before going off to do stuff. But when they were going around looking for all the chickens to put them back into the coop around 7:30 ish, she was nowhere to be found. they said they looked absolutely everywhere for her, but she didn’t show up. They didn’t find any scattered feathers, and if she was attacked they would have heard the commotion. They had to leave and come back home since it was getting too dark, and when I was told, I felt every nerve in my body become cold.

I plan to drive out tomorrow morning to go look for her myself, but I’m terrified she did in fact get taken by a predator, or shes lost out in the semi-rural area the property’s in, or she got lost out in the dark and will get taken by a predator overnight. Again, she’s a big hen. I can’t give a number on her weight, but when I carry her I sometimes have to switch arms since they get tired holding her. She’s big, and to my knowledge, there aren’t any medium or larger predators out there. A hawk or owl would probably not even bother trying to go for her since she’s about as big as one.

Zelda’s an adventurous hen that has given me scares before by finding a new hiding spot. She once went up into the hayloft to hunt spiders, and I spent half an hour calling and looking for her before she launched her big ahh down from the loft when I rattled a box of cat treats (it was all I had on hand atm and she’s a crackhead for cat food and Temptations). I have had mini panic moments where I couldn’t find her, but she always eventually turned up before I left. This is the first time she’s never turned up.

There’s a good chance she just found somewhere safe to sleep for the night, and there have been smaller hens that got left out of the coop at night and they all turned out fine, but I’m still so very worried sick. I know I’m not gonna be able to sleep well tonight because I’m just gonna be thinking too much about her.

Hester is naturally drawn to people, either from a desire for validation they were deprived of as a child or due to their soul innately craving it. They are a firm believer in the Old Gods, specifically the god of stars, souls, and fate, the one known as Sarko. While not particularly confrontational, if given no other choice, they will use what they have at their disposal to ward off threats. They are initially friendly with most individuals, but their “eccentric” attitude with Sarko can put a strain on their relationships.

Post-Termina epilogue

Hester became convinced that by surviving an attempt on their life by Rher himself, they were Sarko incarnate. Shortly following their return to civilization, they began amassing a legion of worshippers believing them to be a deity.

• Living so close to The Ministry of Darkness early on meant that you had frequent conversations with its students. Sparked by curiosity, you too began researching the Old Gods, leading you to discover one of its more forgotten gods Sarko to be rediscovered by you.
• Close to a decade, you were a devoted scholar of the Old God of fate, stars, and souls. You even made attempts to share your enthusiasm with the Ministry of Darkness, only to be rejected.

The False Pegasus

If not dealt with properly, Hester will turn into False Pegasus due to moonscorch on Day 3 Noon.

For most of the festival, Hester holds it together pretty well. They’re convinced their patron god wouldn’t let them fall victim to the festival without some great hurrah to “justify” their suffering. More than anything, Hester needs to believe they are destined for something greater, for why else would Sarko let them be born as “deformed” as they are? By Day 3 morning, Hester becomes desperate for not only survival but also a purpose. If they’re not recruited by that noon, their worldview collapses in on itself and they have a breakdown that results in moonscorching.

Location:

The False Pegasus flees to different places on the map. It can first be encountered in Maiden Forest, where it will retreat to each of the following locations in order:

Old Town- Gate -> Prehevil - Staircase -> Prehevil- Back Alleys -> Prehevil - Sylvian’s square -> Prehevil - West -> Prehevil - Ruined Streets -> Deep Woods -> Deeper Woods -> Maiden Forest -> Old Town - Gate -> Old Town - Mayor’s Manor -> Old Town - Slums -> Lake -> Riverside -> Sewers - Southern Tunnels -> Sewers - Mid Tunnels -> Prehevil - Central -> Prehevil - Temple Site Tower -> Prehevil - Temple Site Museum -> Prehevil - Shopping Street -> Department Store -> Prehevil North-West -> Prehevil - West -> Prehevil - Ruined Streets -> Deep Woods -> Deeper Woods -> Deepest Woods -> Tunnel 1

Once it is cornered in Tunnel 1, it will attack as a last resort.

Behavior:

Despite its grotesque appearance, False Pegasus is relatively docile and will run away from the player if approached. Because it is faster than the player’s sprint speed, it cannot be chased down through normal means. The only ways to engage in combat with it is to either lay down a bear trap that will slow it enough to catch, OR chase it through all of the locations it visits and corner it in Tunnel 1.

Once battle is initiated, it becomes a dangerous enemy akin to the centaur. All of its (visible) legs are individual targets, and all of them need to be destroyed in order to get it to lose its balance and prevent it from using its main attack. During that time, it’ll charge and inflict a similar attack to stampede. Its body, head, and neck are also different targets, and the head needs to be destroyed in order to kill it. Like pretty much all the other moonscorches, you’re gonna have a bad time.

Conception:

Like almost all of the moonscorches, False Pegasus takes a lot of inspiration from Hester’s inner self esteem. There is a dialogue I want to write in the museum where Hester comments about how most people misinterpret the star god Sarko’s sacred animal to be a horse when it’s really meant to interpret a Pegasus. This isn’t completely true though. Since much of Sarko’s influence has been forgotten, what followers he does have struggle to find the correct sources of information. Since there was no internet at this time, they only had scarce references in old books and each other to corroborate with, hence the misconception of a misconception. 

Their dialogue mixes with other contestants in the party. They more than likely will butt heads with Karin on this topic but converse happily with Marina and Olivia. The overall idea is that Hester is so attached to their god that they imprint pieces of their own personality onto him. The False Pegasus is also a subversion of expectations, because most people see equines as graceful and powerful, when in reality they are still prey animals with a tendency to perceive anything and everything unfamiliar as a threat. (Shoutout to all my horse people that know exactly what I’m talking about). Same applies with Pegasus. It’s a horse with wings basically. Being that Hester’s whole gimmick is that they peace tf out the moment there’s trouble, they have a few things in common with horses. 

For their skull splitting open so the horse skull can emerge, that would again be a callback to their parasocial relationship with Sarko, as well as their Ending B epilogue where they become convinced they are Sarko reincarnated in some way, something their ego always wanted to believe but needed a life changing experience to excuse it.

Before someone says “watch the original movie and read the book and say you still love it 😏” I HAVE watched the original movie, and I HAVE read the book, multiple times over actually. I like the og movie plenty enough, and the book is probably my favorite literature ever. Even so, I love the mini series despite its flaws. I know it has some pacing issues and some parts are left out, but I wouldn’t call that reasoning to think the adaptation is hraka. In fact, I like the Netflix adaptation more than the og movie because it’s so much less jarring and cruel. In my opinion, the bulk of the og movie’s love comes from nostalgia, and as someone who watched it as an adult, I’m not as reluctant to put its most recent adaptation a pedestal above it. I love the character designs of the Netflix adaptation (especially Woundwort, he’s literally built different) and I LOVE the voice acting. The animation style is crisp, but warm at the same time. The realistic art style looks good, like you can see every hair on the rabbits, and even though the characters at some angles look awkward… that’s just how rabbits look (see *almost every goofy picture I’ve taken of my rabbit Cloud).

I think the Netflix adaptation is way overhated. There are certainly some small details I’d fix, but the ending scene where Fiver comes to say goodnight to Hazel, knowing his time is coming, and Bluebell reciting the opening lines of the book as a story to kits, implying the book’s narration is the in-universe narration of Bluebell’s storytelling while Hazel’s spirit (in the form of a cloud) runs towards the sun is SO GOOD!!! The character designs are hard to follow first watch, believer me, it took me until my second watch in 2018 to distinguish everyone, but when you do distinguish them, their small differences become very obvious and distinctive! Fiver having heterochromia, Blackberry having a slight purplish tint in his coat, Dandelion being the most yellow-y among them, Bluebell with his bright blue eyes, etc. Even the named Efrafans become distinct when you pay attention to them. It really reminds me of when I meet new animals and have to learn their distinguishing traits to tell them apart when they relatively look the same.

Anyways, yap session over. I love Netflix‘s adaptation of Watership Down despite its flaws. I always encourage people to read the original novel before any of its film adaptations because that’s gold tier xenofiction no questions asked.

my family got the apple blossom flavor recently, and since it was the only one available, I used it when replacing my degreasing water for a raccoon and cat skull. Forgot to post a picture to show the process my bad. Does anyone know if the flavors change it at all or could you ✨customize✨ your degreasing process?

this is Monty, one of the parrots at my workplace and an absolute sweetheart. His favorite sound to make around me is a soft “💥” sound, like a faint explosion, a “kowww…” sound. he knows a whole lot of sounds. I am not able to handle him personally, but when I’m around him and he makes his noises, I’ll make them back at him and we’ll kind of go back and forth like its a conversation.

Flash forward to last weekend, I was cleaning one of the drains outside when I hear “💥” above me. I know immediately it’s Monty and make the sound back at him on impulse. I then stop and am like ”wait, why is he over here and not on his perch?” Monty is not supposed to be off his perch outside because that opens him up to possibly being touched by people and unmonitored. That being said, he will absolutely climb off his perch and go exploring the outdoor aviary. I have a “Hi Monty. Wait—“ moment and look up to see him peeking at me, and I snap a quick photo. I call his handler on duty to come get him, and he promptly takes about 10 minutes to get him because he didn’t want to come down from the roof. Handler had to get a ladder and climb on the roof to get him LOL.

I love all the parrots at my work, but Monty is one of my favorites. He’s 30 something years old I was told. I thought the community would appreciate this lil story and pic.

every bone (except the sail at the bottom) is made from deer bone I’ve scavenged while wandering around public land. the sail, or wind catcher which is the rectangular piece at the bottom there, is cut from horse bone, something I also scavenged. This is my first wind chime, so it is a little crude! If it really interests me and others, I can see myself making more in the future with more refined designs. I might re-string it in the future, but right now my fingers are raw from measuring, cutting, and looping the beading thread 😴

I saw this magnificent work of art a few months back, and I’ve been trying to figure out what bones make up what parts. I’m not looking for specific animal ID, just the names of the bones so I can work from there. help would be appreciated, thanks!

I think it’s the lighting that makes them look a tinge bit yellow. that’s not the case, when I get a look at them, they’re white as snow 🙏

His name is Cloud btw. he’s probably the most spoiled rabbit in the world.

there’s this little dark space underneath my bed that is really hard to access because my fat ahh won’t fit in there without pulling stuff out. there’s a power cord back there, and Cloud has exactly 1 criminal charge of biting a cord before I stopped trusting him around them. He’s otherwise really good with wires and cords (as long as I’m watching) but I’d rather not risk it at all and close that area off. Cloud has made it his life mission to go into that damn space as much as possible, and every possible way I’ve tried to close it off, he manages to bypass them. put a wooden rail back there, and he squeezed through it like water. covered it up with blankets, and he digs them out. it’s the one spot in my room I forbid him from going in, but he refuses to be tethered by law or order. Born to be an anarchist, forced to be a bun.

(Currently at a stalemate since I stuck his new travel carrier in the way of that access space. it’s almost perfectly shaped to that area. pics taken were of him pouting after failing to push it out of the way)

Found this guy while out bone hunting (I like to scavenge various kinds of bones, mostly skulls, jawbones, and antlers). I really like snakes, and I handle them regularly at my job, but Im not so great with ID’ing them. This one was a pretty good size, and had its head lifted when I saw its gorgeous scales! When I made an attempt to get closer to I could get a better picture, it rattled its tail at me to let me know *very politely* it didn’t want me to get closer. I didn’t want to make it mad so I went on my way. Aside from the picture, it had a red tongue and was rather slow moving. Sorry that the pic isn’t really good, but it was about as close I could get for a picture with it still.

I don’t care if I’m sneezing and getting itchy eyes for the rest of my life, I will smooch my boi as much as I like 😤

btw, Cloud’s bunny condo is really only for when I can’t monitor him, and it’s very spacious.
