2000s contact lens promotion
I went onto the Internet Archive (https://web.archive.org/web/20051107021723/http://www.cibavision.com/products/contact\_lenses/focus\_night\_day.shtml) and found this info page about the Focus Night & Day contact lenses (discontinued in 2009) by CIBA Vision (now Alcon). I was kind of astonished by how they used to advertise these sleep-in contact lenses back then. As if it's perfectly fine to wear them 30 days in a row (and presumably also shower in them unless you only shower once a month?). Nowadays even with contact lenses approved for being slept in, they recommend every single patient to remove them before sleeping. It just goes to show how much we have learned about the eye and contact lenses since then.
