Just picked up a used 2022 P2.
Still under warranty until end ‘27.

I think I have bought a car with the regen roulette wheel issue and the issue with front suspension bearings.

What are the repairs going to cost me?
Or… are these issues definitely going to be under warranty?

In Australia… I am looking to buy a second hand P2. I haven’t yet called the seller as I’d rather just be informed before.

What issues should I be looking for with a 2022 (MY23) with performance and plus pack?
Around 50 thousand kilometres traveled.

Would the suspension bearing issue be noticeable by this stage?

It also has a Pilot “Lite” pack… what is that?

Will be on a novated lease. My wife’s biggest bug bear about buying new is depreciation.

Is the depreciation of the new Mazda as big an issue as the Tesla’s age… warranty impact.

40ish thousand kilometres on the One year old Tesla MY will already have $10k off the price. Is AWD Long Range.
(Also - is it true from first registered it is a five year unlimited km warranty?)

Have test driven Teslas and definitely enjoyed it. Took the opportunity today and drove a Mazda 6e this afternoon.
I was quite happy with it too.

Essentially happy with both vehicles… just want to query the opinions on depreciation and wear n tear.

Deinfluence me from buying a Second car. We have a cheap but 6 month new petrol car which my wife uses to drive 100kms return each weekday to/from work.

I sold my car last week. Diesel Ute.

Now I have a job which allows me to work from home five days a week.

I want a second car so I have the option to jump in and drive to Bushland for some hiking or
Mountain biking.

I’m looking at swapping cars with wifey and getting an EV for her to use.

She says we only need one car as it’s just the two of us.

I don’t even know if it’ll be possible with a Deepal S07 (it has a tow rating but no idea if it can even be fitted.)

Has anyone tracked/measured the impact on efficiency of carrying MTBs?

I’m in a QLD townhouse complex of 50+ lots.
Each has a roof area for enough solar panels for a four bedroom home.

Regarding insurance… the panels are installed to the roof which is the building.

the by laws in this complex are clear, if damage to the roof from the install occurs, eg leaking, the lot owner is liable, not the body corp insurance.

My main concern would be hail or other severe storms demolishing some or all of the panels.

The insurance for the body corp covers this? If so… this would indicate the existing solar panel installs to some of the townhomes has increased the insurance for other body corp members.
