Should I buy the Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens E mount for Motorsport Photography?

I currently have a 70-300mm Tamron f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD on my A7III. I have been shooting Motorsport photography throughout 2026 so far. I find the 70-300mm is very lacking in getting good shots. I know it is an intermediate lens. Has anybody shot Motorsports/Fast moving objects on the 50-400mm and can give an honest opinion. Thank you.

Sunset Horizon Shots

Shot on the Sony A7III using a simple tripod with a Cine4 color profile. I as well used my CPL and exposed for the highlights and wanted a calm tone to the short movie. I had to go against the wind at the time which pushed me to stabilize my clips in post. My tripod to say the least sucks and it has a hard time coming up against the wind. Dialogue audio is from the video game, Red Dead Redemption 2. Criticism welcomed.
