The things I use to justify

The things I use to justify

We were together for 10 years. He was the kind of person where this didn't happen often. 3 times he pushed me hard enough to cause bruising, all 3 times I was next to a counter corner, the edge of the bed frame or the chest at the end of my parents guest bedroom. 2 times he punched holes in the wall. 3 times I asked to stop having sex because I was crying but he kept going and said just let me finish.

At the time I justify all of his actions, all times I lashed back at him for what he did so I felt guilty that I blamed myself. I wish him pushing me into the corner of the chest while I was pregnant was my final straw but I said 2 more years until he cheated. Granted I realized I had stopped loving him prior to us getting married but every time we broke up he wouldn't leave me alone. Anyone I consulted, which wasn't a lot of people, told me it was normal and it doesn't happen often he'll work on things. I told my mom about the time when I was pregnant to she said I had to have done something to provoke him because I do it to her and being a single mom is worse than what he did.

It's better to just leave and let people have their own opinions, in my case.

I firmly believe the avatar world will be cursed until Zutara becomes canon

The hype for Avatar has always been there but ever since Bryke made the choice to bully teenage girls at Comic Con in 2008. The success of them has been downhill but the love and hype has never died.

Dallas Liu on Season 2

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTB347wYH/

"I love season 2, the arc for Zuko in season 2. I think it is crucial, I think it is extremely important, and I don’t think in the cartoon he ends up where he does without what he experiences in season 2. And I think that goes for our show as well."

Predictions for Season 2

The Guru will not be in the Netflix series, as we know Yangchen was cast for this season.

Appa will be taken at the end of the Serpent’s Pass because Sai and Teo will be part of the group he’s escorting that cannot walk.

The Parable of Two Dragons will be heavily based on the Fire Nation history about royal siblings along with the episode The Avatar and The Firelord from the animated series.

The finale will include the capture of Hakoda’s fleet and the Kyoshi Warriors, during the We’ve already won speech.

Tales of Ba Sing Se will include Iroh and Toph meeting each other.

Iroh will face the damages he did and we will get to see him reflect on what the Earth Kingdom soldier said about the war from season 1.

We will get the Blue Spirit and Painted Lady origin story as a way for Zuko and Katara to connect with each other.

Aang will be told again that he has to master all 4 elements before he can master the Avatar State. This leads to him forcing himself into the Avatar State and his inability to control it will lead to Azula’s lightning.

My most controversial take, Zuko defends Katara in the crystal catacombs leading to his capture, instead of Iroh. I love Zuko's original arc, I just don't see how they have the time with there only being 1 episode in-between Season 2 finale, Something Broken and 8 minutes (presumed Day of Black Sun).

Kind of proven:

Sokka will be more of an engineer because of Sai’s presence. They’ll begin working on their invasion stuff during this season since Day of Black Sun is episode 2 (kind proven in the recap)

Zuko and Azula dynamic will be more of a rivalry compared to the animated (proven in the EW

Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 (2026) Exclusive 'Meet Toph' Behind-the-Scenes Clip - IGN

Another BTS video. It appears Toph will be at Serpent's Pass as they're seen traveling with the same squad. Which will make for a jammed packed episode. Omashu, Toph, and Serpent's Pass plus whatever Zuko and Iroh are up to and possibly Azula.

Could Netflix make a massive change to the Season 2 FInale?

I think The Crossroads of Destiny will play out differently in the Live Action. This is definitely some AU Zutara fanfiction theory here. We know the Blue Spirit and Painted Lady team up from the trailer. In the animated series I don’t view Zuko choosing Azula as a betrayal to Katara. There was never any established trust between them, just a moment where they connected over their mothers. Based on the trailer and teaser we know the fight scene between Aang and Azula will be the same. They don’t show us Zuko at all in the catacombs. To me this means they want to keep Zuko's choice a secret which will either be a true betrayal of Katara’s trust or he will choose Team Avatar there. If he does betray Katara’s trust that seems like it will be a pacing nightmare with 7 episodes remaining and Day of Black Sun happening in episode 2, his pacing in the Live Action would be cut short and feel unearned to me. Katara’s anger at him is related to her associating Zuko with Fire Nation that killed her mother, vs Zuko has deeply betrayed her trust, it cheapens her character. Here’s why I think Zuko will choose Team Avatar in the Live Action.

Azula & Zhao:
They set up that Azula wants to be the heir to the throne. In the animated series she doesn’t claim to want the throne in the same way the live action has said. She’s excited when Ozai says she will need to be the next Fire Lord, this is the first and only time. In the live action, she’s the one actively working against Zuko through Zhao. Azula told Zhao that Zuko was the Blue Spirit, compared to Zhao piecing it together with the dual broad swords. Zhao told Zuko about Azula being his ally. The whole “the winner is the one without the scar from daddy” . Within Ozai’s dialogue he points out that the strong survive while the weak don’t. Ozai is pitting them against each other to see who is worthy of being the next Fire Lord.

The addition to Zuko’s banishment story:
Adding the 41st Division to his backstory. It adds more context to his story to give it depth to the last line of Zuko’s flashback. “Sometimes the weak can become stronger. Sometimes you just have to give them a chance.” This gives the blueprint for who Zuko and what he believes deep down. Those qualities that come out when he switches sides. Them bowing to Zuko when he returns shows that he became a respected leader because he sacrificed his face to defend them. Season 1 also showed us that Fire Nation citizens aren’t happy with the war either. More people would stand behind Zuko if they learn he betrayed his own family.

The Blue Spirit takes on a new meaning:
Iroh’s monologue in Mask sets the stage that Zuko’s true self is who he is when he dawns the Blue Spirit mask. “So we put on a mask. It’s not hard to understand why. What’s hard is knowing that sometimes the mask is who you really are.” Aang and Zuko have a heart to heart that wasn’t in the original series. Where Aang says this to Blue Spirit Zuko “You know what the Fire Lord is doing is wrong, so you don’t have to be like him.” Zuko does react to choose his father’s words again. Through the Blue Spirit and Painted Lady Zuko will see how wrong Ozai was when he said “You must purge that weakness out of you. You must be willing to give up the weak to make yourself strong. That is what makes us the Fire Nation.” Also the scene where Iroh and Aang talk in prison points Aang not knowing the real Zuko and to Iroh having a debt he could never repay to Zuko because he gave him a reason to keep living after Lu Ten’s funeral.

The things they changed between Katara and Zuko
Season 1 pitted these two against each other more than the animated. We learned waterbending through Katara instead of Aang. She was the one who blocked Zuko’s fireball, she stood in the way of Zuko at Kyoshi Island where his line “No one’s going to stand in my way.” This line is reflected when Katara says “They destroyed everything in their path.” And in her fight with Zuko they stood toe to toe together neither of them lost or won. During the episode The North, Aang tells the gang about his encounter with Zuko. Katara says Aang made a connection with him, tying back to who Aang will be as the Avatar, connecting with people.

Here’s how I see it all tying together
The Blue Spirit and Painted Lady will meet as their alter egos. Jet might introduce them or they run into each other doing their vigilante shit, leading them to interact.  I think Zuko will know it’s Katara immediately but Katara won’t know it’s Zuko (a nod to the Bollywood scarf scene in Omashu, also ironic). He will use her to get close to capture the avatar if he hasn’t let that fully go. They become close and share the same stories that they exchange in the catacombs here and more. Which will start to change his mind. She reflects the words he last said to his dad. Katara will be the catalyst to his redemption because he sees himself through her and Iroh will continue to try to get Zuko to choose his own path to realize the Blue Spirit is the true Zuko, who he aims to be. They get caught together and thrown into the catacombs where Katara learns the Blue Spirit is Zuko. She feels hurt and questions if everything is true or not. We don’t get the answer here. It gets answered when Zuko chooses between Aang or Azula, instead of Zuko redirecting Ozai’s lightning it will be Azula in this scene (feels lame to me). This leads to Zuko being the one who is arrested. The line we’ve already won, how much are you willing to lose is a hint that the Water Tribe ships are being overtaken. Somehow Hakoda and Suki will be captured. Turning the episode: 8 minutes (2nd episode of season 3) into one that merges The Day of Black Sun with The Boiling Rock. Iroh helps because he knows Capital City and can help them devise a plan, repaying the debt he claims he never can. There we get the iconic line “You rise with the moon. I rise with the sun.” The episode prior Ozai will meet Zuko at the prison where they will exchange their iconic scene and mirror the future scene after Zuko’s coronation. I would like there to be a movie over The Search.
