This was a fun kit to build (falcon by moshow toys):3 I still gotta do the decals for it, but assembly and lining are complete! The articulation is pretty amazing, there’s a bunch of stuff that moves around. I might do some cool poses and get pics of those but for now I’m just happy to be mostly finished for now :3
“Regus” is the kit, by ZZA :3 def my favorite “gundam” style build so far. Still need to panel line and do decals, but so far I’m quite pleased :3
So I’d initially tried this with a 1/100 aerial top half and the legs seemed a little short and the pegs were gonna be a massive headache to figure out, so I said “eh, let’s see” and tried it with the 1/144 and not only do the legs fit better (ie: it can support its own weight), I like it more 😆 xtra thicc
Working on a phat Aerial :3 it’s gonna take some figuring out because the leg pegs aren’t the right diameter for the hip holes, but so far so good 😎
The hip joints will need some figuring out since the pegs are a tiny bit too small to be stable as is, but so far I’m pleased 😆 it will definitely take some customization to bring her to full glory, but so far so good :3

So I’m building this “Flacon 01” something or other, and step one of the jet pack is to add this tiny little white square into another white part and I truly do not understand why they didn’t just print it together like that 😆 (middle finger for scale)
Over the past few months (this is all new since I got hit by an SUV last may while walking to work and was concussed for two weeks as a result of my head hitting the street (front right side of head))
I’ve developed this weird thing that’s become a regular occurrence where when I’m getting tired my brain and body don’t fall asleep in sync with each other, like I can be mentally a lot more awake than my body is, or vice versa, and I’ll twitch (kinda like hypnic jerks, but a bit different in how it feels) all kinda weird, like it feels like electricity jolts down my spine and out my feet sending a wave of minute muscle spasms along the way, or my jaw/lip area or arms will suddenly move on their own all weird but the same kind of super fast involuntary movement and sensation of a jolt of electricity coursing through my nervous system.
Like rn I’m mentally wide awake but my body is trying to fall asleep on me and it’s making my body jerk weird kinda like you would when you’re falling asleep and you kinda jump/jolt in bed because your brain thinks you’re falling or whatever we think is the reason for the normal way this happens, but this feels uniquely different from the typical hypnic jerks I’ve known my whole life. It’s a very bizarre sensation and I’m a bit concerned something unusual is going on.
I’m also dealing with the opposite, where my body wants to fall asleep before my brain does and I can be mentally wide awake but VERY SUDDENLY it will feel like I pass out like I’ve fallen asleep for literally less than 2 seconds and I can feel my head fall back and my throat completely relax like my body has fallen asleep for a split second then I kinda jolt awake suddenly, the whole thing doesn’t last for more than a few seconds at most. It’s very strange. Like both can be tired and want sleep but they’re not going through the process of falling asleep in sync with each other so one will pass out before the other and create this weird imbalance that’s really uncomfortable and feels weird af and it makes going to bed an anxiety riddled situation.
Anyone else have any idea what I’m talking about?
I’ve had two tonic clonic seizures, both a little over than a decade ago, about 2 years apart from one another, and if I get cold or excited my hands, arms, shoulders, neck, and face all clench up and I start link involuntarily spasming (def rhythmic, very quick motions, and not under my control. Usually lasting no more than a few seconds, it feels like a whole brain/body sneeze in the sense of a buildup of tension followed by release, and usually the clenched rhythmic movement’s “energy” Will find its way out of my body by traveling down into my torso causing it to kind of left-to-right jerk, or further down out one or both legs causing my legs to also do the thing™️, sometimes my entire body does it, but within a few seconds it stops and usually the “energy” goes out one leg/foot or the other and feels like I gotta shake it off of my foot 😆 this specific phenomenon has been with me since at least my second tonic clonic.
I’m not officially diagnosed with epilepsy, nor do I take anti epileptics, though I am on a routine prescribed benzodiazepine script, and I’ve found that supplementary gabapentin seems to help with the newer weird twitchy stuff when I’m going to sleep.
I’ve also noticed my threshold for being overstimulated is much lower than it used to be, and I get crazy overwhelmingly loud tinnitus when falling asleep, occasionally a weird head “pressure” sensation, rarely I’ll vocalize a quick “AH” as im falling asleep, and during the day I often need to wear some mind of ear plugs due to the overwhelm of too many sounds at once, and rarely I need to get to a dark quiet place to stop feeling “glitchy” from stimulation overwhelm.
These things all feel similar to the sensations I felt during the very brief moments of conscious awareness right before both tonic clonics, the sense of overwhelm, the involuntary muscle movements (not the fully body clenching thing, that seems very tied to either excitement or suddenly being cold), and it’s all a bit anxiety inducing considering.
Also, some days it feels like I wake up and have ABSOLUTELY NO energy. I’m not sore, no random bruising, no confusion per se, just completely exhausted (I do have sleep apnea so this may be due to this) so no typical signs of nocturnal seizures that I’m aware of, at least I don’t feel like I did after the two tonic clonics where I felt like I’d been hit by a bus or worked out my entire body way too hard, I just feel brain fogged and physically completely drained.
This all started recently after I quit smoking cannabis. I’m finding CBD kind of helps with all of this, as does what little gabapentin I have left from a surgery last Jan, so I’m wondering if maybe the cannabis has been masking this stuff ans it’s been going on for some time and I was simply unaware of it. Waking up feeling completely exhausted (as in “more tired than when I went to sleep, can barely do anything that day”) has been a thing for at least about 2 years now.
Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

It’s somewhere around 900 pieces, about 15” cubed, and weighs at least 4-5 lbs. it took me somewhere between 70-80 hours to complete. The picture does it no justice whatsoever, in fact it’s an insult. I don’t have good lighting rn so I’ll probably try to get that figured out in the near future just because it would benefit the photography, but holy hecc, just LOOK at it, it’s glorious! 🥹
Second lick is with front facing directional light so it’s easier to see what all is going on, but still looks like potato compared to seeing it in person.

I’m finding my itch for kitbuilding has grown. I’ve recently finished the In Era Fenrir, and Sunday Hobby Xiaoyoizi, both at around 8-900 pieces and very intricate, taking 40-60+ hours to complete. I’ve also build a lot of the SNAA lineup, so I’ve got the fire lord already.
I wanna know “what’s the craziest/most complicated/most intricate/coolest kit you’ve ever seen?”
And don’t recommend the PG NU. I’m not dropping $700 on a kit for a mech I’m not even fond of.
I’m no stranger to “third party” so recommendations don’t have to be Bandai or Gundam at all. I want to expand my horizons, money isn’t really an object here, I just wanna build the craziest stuff :3
