Recommendations for Sat 22nd?

Hi all! Been at the fringe a fair bit this month but currently planning our last day visiting! We will be through from around 5:30/6pm on Sat 22nd, and was considering possibly starting off at the Pleasance or George Sq as a base. we only have one show booked - Kaye Hole at Mcewan Hall at 23:30!

Have seen a fair few things and loved a lot, but hoping to get some recommendations of the best shows you have seen this year!

Not massive on improv, but still fairly open-minded on anything! Really enjoyed this year:

…Earnest?
Christian Dart: Gumshoe
Reuben Kaye: Hard to Swallow
Sophie’s Surprise 29th
Siblings and family friends
Margaret Thatcher queen of Hollywood

Really appreciate any recommendations from you all, as the Reddit hive-mind seems to be great at this!!

Thanks in advance!

Looking to implement - advice?

Hi all, I’m drafting a proposal for us to start using WhatsApp Business API as a ‘Webchat’ function for my workplace. Not my usual area to work in but I think it can make a massive difference. Ideally it would be used to ask multiple questions and capture information, photos, video etc from a customer, through a single conversation.

From my research, this shouldn’t cost anything, as the customer would initiate contact, then we would have 24hrs to complete the chat - is this right?

Ideally I’d like for us to be able to manage multiple chats via laptop, at the same time. In time if successful, it would be something we could add multiple staff to in order to manage.

Can you recommend what would be good ‘first steps’ to get this in place? Is there any particular pitfalls or things to watch out for in your experiences?

Is there any recommended software to manage and respond for the conversations etc?

Looking at whether this would be best just purely to get the ability to use via computer, or if we just hang fire and use the app instead for now on a work phone (though would be a bit of a pain compared to using a keyboard etc!)

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Advice sought for moving from RD to TB

Hi all, been pushing through with RD despite the current ‘unpleasantness’ but with my current RD subscription coming to an end shortly, I thought I’d see if you guys can offer any advice?

  1. Is there really that much of a difference in using TB compared to RD since the take-down kicked in?
  2. Is there any way to easily shift everything over from RD to TB, or will I just have to start from scratch again with the settings for every add-on etc?
  3. Can they both be used at the same time, if so how? And is it worth waiting for RD to finish before sorting TB or just go ahead now?
  4. What’s the price point like compared to RD? Any offers etc?

Thanks in advance guys! Sorry for the Qs but I searched and couldn’t find anything answering it all, especially to the level I can cope with being a bit of a simpleton with all of this!

YOUR traineeship experiences?

Just in the process of applying for traineeship at the moment (Scotland). After looking around online, I’m surprised there aren’t any forums for people to share their personal experiences with traineeships.

So, please tell me, who did/do you have a traineeship with, and how would you rate it? What’s good and what isn’t? What do you wish you knew before taking up the traineeship? Would you recommend the firm to others?

Hi all, I’m a mature student studying my Scots Law LLB, and going to be going into my final (honours) year in September.

I know soon I’ll have to start applying for traineeships etc (and the diploma too) but one thing I’m struggling with is what area of law I’m interested in?!

I keep getting asked, and frankly, I have no idea! The thought of corporate makes me just want to sleep with how boring it seems but is it really that bad?

I’ve not been able to secure any summer placements due to childcare etc and I already work part-time for a firm that handles PI/Delict.

I’ve always been interested in Criminal but I know it’s notoriously difficult to get into, and significantly harder to live off the income from (unless working for PF or big firms for private client work!).

Can anyone give me some pointers to work out what is right for me? Will it make much of a difference where I do my traineeship when it comes to carving out my future career? Can anyone give any advice on what their experiences in different areas of law has been?

Thanks so much in advance guys!!
