Great venue first off. My gf who had seen SL last year told me to not expect too much and after seeing her media presence (you would expect more) Her self marketing is really good and it works, the actual music she was playing last night was hmmmm, it felt like she was trying to just go from one side of the keyboard to the other, if that makes sense? I didn't feel like it all tied in. For me a superior DJ is someone who brings all the pieces together like an ensemble grand band, no different than a director with a little black stick and bow tie.
I will say credit to her that she did draw in a much more female crowd which is always as we all know it's usually more skewed to guys. I'm not a hardcore raver myself, but you could see that there much more fresh faces that you wouldn't see on a normal night.
She's got some banger tracks on youtube but live maybe it just wasn't for me (Which is fine) If everyone else had a good show then i'm happy. I still enjoyed.
Just curious how many of us are around the scene these days, every once in a while I come across one or two. (I played 2nd division rugby in Spain for a number of years) After so many years of just living sport it's like.....I'm enjoying all this free time and just relaxing and joining life....and the kind gent who makes me a ciggy.
**Mental note...last time before we we went my gf and I did a wonderful lower body session+sprint session too the morning of....we were outside in the smoking section having a laugh while everybody was like these people are so serious they're stretching >_< hahah we were like "noooo....it was the RDL's"

UPDATE: You guys were great and very helpful, I would love to see Tiesto but logistically it just doesn't make sense**....**I think the major reason is that a Monday night means basically taking the whole day off Monday/Tuesday and i've got a lot of very important projects going on work wise where I need to be functioning....so we're going to go see Sara Landry and the rest of the DJ's and i'll just have to make it next time! It was only 30 euros too...so reasonably priced!
Hola chicos, soo I've posted here before. I had a 20 year+hiatus from the electronic/rave world annnnd I was just kind of playing around and discovered one of the big names is still around and still playing. Tiesto. My gf and I have been going to raves here in Southern Spain/Portugal the past year annnd no one has really brought back those 90s/00s that I just...Love for lack of a better word.
I saw the Tiesto tour dates (and it's a very odd one indeed+seems that he's actually playing in Madrid.... and the tickets are quite reasonable at thirty euros too) on Monday night >_<
Should we make the train up there OR go to the rave we've been planning to go to ironically the same weekend down here which seems like it'll have some great dj's. The Dj's at the other one are obviously not as famous, but it'll be a pretty big event too. Also on a Friday....

Last thing, if you want to know of any shows where someone actually still does play the 90s/00s stuff then would love to know about it, and maybe we'll make a weekend out of it (in europe)

Shown here is indeed one of the examples of junky one that'll work for a few months and then start flickering/short out....and end up in the trash. It's not her, but they're about as reliable as the mag lights 20+years ago(at least in my experience). I'd say budget would be between 20-40 USD which should be good enough. She just likes to have a reliable one to walk the dogs in the evening or see if any bears are out back etc. So any extra features would probably be lost on her, just a nice squishy rubber button that goes on and off!
I will possibly get her a smaller version additionally to put in the car, doesn't even have to be the same brand. "You never know when you'll need a good flashlight!"-her words

Que tal chicos, saludos desde Malaga capital. Vamos este finde a Jerez por su feria por primera vez y como llevamos muchos anos aqui y tenemos coche, pues deberiamos aprovechar con mas frecuencia. No me importa si sea una feria grande o no, incluso a aveces las del pueblo son mas divertidos. Gracias!
We've gotten Digi recently and now we're noticing 123 movies etc etc and some others are not working like they used to...is it Digi or Spain in general...bili bili does still work, but the rest no :/
