i \[22F\] met this friend \[29M\] through a game last december and we have consistently talked until now for 5 months. we called almost every day, texted each other if we cant call. at one point when he was away on a trip, i avoided calling him to create some space as he showed signs of having feelings for me. i thought i didnt like him but it would be too awkward if i made things clear and if it turns out he actually sees me as a friend only. when he came back everything felt different. gradually, he stopped initiating calls. we still text but his responses started to feel delayed and he didnt seem that excited to talk to me anymore. he used to share bits and pieces of his day and he dont do that anymore too. because of that i was overthinking a lot, losing sleep, feeling sad, crying. i started analyzing a lot of his words and constantly wondered if i did something wrong for him to pull away. recently, i reached out to ask him to play a game with me. my heart was beating really fast while waiting for his reply.
he used to call my name affectionately but he dont do that anymore, not even in text. he also dont really share his day with me anymore. all of these signs of pulling away is actually making me feel quite sad. it feels like i did something wrong.
