CMV: Taylor Swift and her music sucks (not a revolutionary opinion but a polarising one indeed)

I see so many women just adore her, I don't get it. I would like to know what's about her music that garners so much adoration. I've tried getting into it so many times, but to me her lyrics/vocals/tunes just sound terrible.

Maybe there are examples of actual good writing and strong vocals that I haven't come across. Generally whatever evidence of good writing has come up just sounds like overly worded mumbo jumbo.

I also don't like her activism, looks very self serving. Her inviting/allowing an invite to a person who's made a business out of an ICE deportation centre rubbed me the wrong way really. The fact that she never spoke about Palestine also doesn't help my image of her.

I couldn't care less who she dated, how many she dated or who she married, which I know have been points of immense scrutiny over the course of her career.

I have no problem with others like her music. Tastes are subjective, but Taylor Swift fans at times are a little...too much? I think that's one of the reasons why I haven't been able to find a reason to like her, her fans make it a little too difficult.

Change my view?

Her Insta story for Rocketmoney

She starts off by saying her sister and she are their mom's tech assistants. I might be reading too much into it but it feels like it's erasing the existence of a third sister.

Usually when there are multiple sisters, people refer to them as elder or younger sisters. Which she has done before. Kind of surprising she would frame it that way. Everything coming out of her mouth feels condescending to me these days.

How do I transition into clean eating?

Hi guys, new to this sub. Looking at all the gorgeous food pics has got me inspired.

I really want to eat clean, but I get these violent cravings for Mcdonalds Breakfast around once in 2 weeks. I don't crave packaged items like chips and soda much but I love instant noodles.

I do want to lose a few pounds (but not a priority). Mainly I want to eat clean to improve my overall health and develop a good relationship with food.

How can I go about it? I've tried cutting out junk before, eating clean for a week or so but I have my relapses. I really want to try, please don't judge me. Any kind of advice would be useful.

Am I developing an ED?

I've been trying to lose weight for a quite a while now, but it's not being going well.

Over the last 6 months, I've been feeling guilty each time I eat, and if I'm at home, I immediately without even realising get on a scale to check how much weight of food did I end up eating. I've been obsessively checking my weight around 6-8 times a day, I can't help it. I try not getting on it so much, but I physically can't stop myself.

If I manage to survive by not eating on any particular day, I feel lightheaded, but the stomach growling really keeps me satisfied.

I've been getting scared to meet people because most plans revolve around eating, and I end up having no control over the calories I consume. I've tried coming up with excuses to not eat during such times, but I'm running out of excuses now.

I work from home, so I've practically shut myself in my house because I'm scared to eat in a social setting.

I dont know what to do. I feel so sad that I'm so constantly worried, but losing weight has taken over my mind completely, I can't think about anything else.

Is this an ED or just societal pressure of losing weight?
