Do you actually charge your phone from your e-bike while riding?

I have a Lectric XP4 and I've tried using the USB port to charge my phone a few times, but honestly it barely seems to charge.

I'll plug my phone in while riding with GPS on, and sometimes the battery percentage barely moves — or it still slowly drops. At this point I usually just bring a power bank instead.

It got me wondering how many people actually use their e-bike to charge their phone.

Do you guys use the USB port on your bike regularly, or is it one of those features that sounds useful but you never really use?

Also curious if anyone has had issues with theirs — slow charging, not charging at all, disconnecting while riding, water damage, etc. Did you fix it yourself, contact the manufacturer, or just give up on it?

For people who actually use it a lot: what are you powering? Phone with GPS? Lights? Something else?

Do you use your e-bike to charge your phone?

Do you actually use the mechanical gears on your e-bike, or just leave it in one gear?

I ride a Lectric XP4 with a Shimano derailleur, but honestly, I barely use the gears and I’m not even sure I’m using them correctly.

Most of the time, I just leave it in the same gear and adjust the pedal assist level instead. When I stop, start again, or come to a hill, I usually forget to shift. Sometimes I try shifting while pedaling hard, and the chain makes a clunking sound or takes a second to change gears, so I usually stop messing with it.

I’m curious how everyone else uses the mechanical gears on their e-bike:

·Do you shift regularly, or leave it in one gear most of the time?

·Do you use the gears differently from the pedal assist levels?

·What gear do you normally leave the bike in?

·Have you had problems with skipping, clicking, chain drops, cable adjustment, or a bent derailleur?

·Did you fix it yourself, take it to a bike shop, or contact the manufacturer?

·Would you prefer a single-speed or automatic system instead?

·Not trying to start a throttle vs. pedaling debate. I’m genuinely curious whether mechanical gears are useful to most e-bike riders or just another part that needs maintenance.

Throttle vs pedal assist — which do you actually use more?

Just curious how everyone actually rides day to day

When you’re out on your e-bike, do you mostly use the throttle, mostly use pedal assist, or a mix of both? I’ve noticed I tend to use different modes depending on the ride, but I’m curious what’s more common for other riders
