Chilean passport holder - must I apply for a visa or just rock up?
Hi everyone, I have found conflicting answers online. Can anyone confirm that Chile passport holders get 90 days on arrival and don't need to apply for any kind of visa?

Hi everyone, so I have a B.A. in Primary Education, a TESOL certification, and over 18 years of teaching experience. I also teach on Preply, where I've completed over 4,000 lessons with more than 50 five-star reviews.
I was wondering: what starting price did you all use in the beginning to attract your first students on Italki? My main focus right now is filling my schedule with students, but I don't want to price myself out of the market. Apologies if this has been asked before!
Would you recommend starting at $15/hour, or should I go higher or lower? Thanks so much!
I have over 4,000 completed lessons and more than 50 five-star reviews, but I mainly focus on general English, grammar, vocabulary and speaking. I currently charge $18 per hour and teach around 15 hours per week using my own prepared lessons. I don’t teach Business English or young learners, and I state this on my profile. Is anyone else in a similar situation? How many hours are you currently teaching per week? I am thinking of increasing my rates to $20
For reasons I won't get into (longg story). But for those of you who have had a kid that you are unable to see or were not able to build a bond with (mine recently turned 5) does it get easier to cope? Or does the depression last forever? Does it get easier over time? Did any of you start a new family? I am suffering from depression as I can't be active in my kids life. Is anyone in the same boat?

Hello. A student booked a 60-minute lesson during one of my PH hours and said he wanted to leave after 10 minutes. I told him that if he left, I could only wait for up to 5 minutes before I had to exit. He left, and I waited, but there was no message saying the classroom was finished or that I could exit, as he never returned.
Even after refreshing the page, all it shows is: 'Uh oh, your student was disconnected! You'll continue to be paid if you wait for them to return up to 5 minutes per lesson. If they don't return, feel free to end the lesson.'
It has been over 20 minutes since he left. What should I do? Should I just wait out the full hour? I tried exiting, but the class still shows as running, so I re-entered. If I end the lesson this comes up - Are you sure you want to end the lesson for all students and close the classroom? This action is irreversible. - I don't want to penalized as I already have a few violations.
I found a percentage on my profile today. Has anyone else noticed it on theirs? What do you think? I’m glad that if a student someday lowers my rating to 4.9, at least I still have this.
Two weeks ago my rating dropped from 97.5 to 97.0. I posted about it in this thread. I haven’t taught much PH, only about three hours a week on weekends; the rest of my lessons are with regulars, and I have a good relationship with them. Today my rating dropped again to 96.5 in two weeks and I have only done about 14 lessons since then with mostly regulars. WTF, I thought it was supposed to be based on the last 200 calls. This is bullshit. Something doesn’t add up. Has anyone else’s rating tanked recently?
I am now 97.0. Goodbye PH.
To qualify for Cambly Pro, your account must not be on probation. Is this only for new tutors? How do you know if your account is on probation, and has anyone ever been put on probation for not following Cambly's guidelines?
**UPDATE** After emailing them they told me I am on probation and have atleast 2 policy violations. I have been working on Cambly for 5 years.
Their response - Thanks for reaching out. Your account is currently on probation and has 2 Policy Violations on record. If you’d like more details about this, please reply to this message and our team will follow up
Hi everyone, my profile score is 97.5. I know it could be better, but it’s not terrible either. There are almost no available PH hours, even on weekends, until the day they actually open up. Monday to Friday is absolutely awful. Luckily, I don’t rely only on Cambly for income, but it still seems pretty bad. A score of 97.5 should still get me more PH hours if I want them. How is it for those of you with scores of 98 or 98.5?
Hi everyone, I have a question about blocking a student and payment.
I had a regular student who completed 5 lessons with me, including her trial. After the fifth lesson, I realised that we were not a good fit and I explained this to her. After the lesson finished (we went past the 50-minute mark), I blocked her. Now the system shows that the lesson was cancelled on my side and I did not get paid for that last lesson.
Has anyone experienced this? Is this how it’s supposed to work, or will support fix the payment for that completed lesson?
**Update** Preply support sorted it out and I received the payment. I had to unblock the student then block her again.
I cannot see them anymore unless I click on a teacher's profile.
