Update: shes back in town and I told her!!

This is an update to a post I made last year about a girl I met during an internship. If anyone's interested, the original post is basically about how we became extremely close during our internship, got separated after getting onboarded in different cities, and slowly drifted apart.

Well… she’s back in town now.

She came to Hyderabad about 3 weeks ago, and we've been meeting again. Not every day, since we're in different projects/offices, but we've been spending time together at lunch, hanging out with our friends, going to movies, etc.

And honestly, it's been really nice.

We were extremely close during the internship. We spent around 10 hours a day together, 5 days a week, for about 4.5 months. Somewhere along the way, I developed feelings for her. I never actually told her.

After we went to different cities, our relationship slowly faded, and I eventually tried to accept that maybe I had just lost someone who was really important to me.

Then she came back.

Then yesterday, we happened to be alone and she told me something.

Apparently, while she was in Chennai, a guy she worked with proposed to her. She said she didn't say yes, but she does have some feelings for him and is considering seeing where things go over the next couple of years. She said she would only marry him if their connection and feelings remain strong and, most importantly, if her father approves. She also mentioned that his family seems pretty accepting of relationships, while her own family situation is more complicated.

I was honestly just sitting there listening to her talk about him, but my mind had basically gone blank.

And one thought kept repeating:

"I have to tell her."

So I did.

I turned to her and basically said:

"I also like you. I don't know if it's love, but I have feelings for you."

I told her about my family situation too. My parents have always told me not to get into a relationship, especially because my brother married the person he loved and there was a lot of family resistance because it was an inter-caste marriage. They're happy now, as far as I know, but my parents still tell me that I shouldn't do the same.

I told her that, despite all that, I've always wanted to marry someone I genuinely love. I also told her that I don't really know what I'm supposed to do with these feelings or what the future looks like.

And then I basically just put everything on the table.

I didn't ask her for an answer.

I didn't tell her to choose me.

I didn't ask her to reject the other guy.

I just wanted her to know.

Ironically, the first and only proper opportunity I ever had to tell her how I feel happened to be immediately after she told me about another guy who likes her.

Perfect timing, right?

She was surprised. She said she had never known that I liked her. She knew we were very close, but apparently she had never interpreted it romantically.

There was understandably a little awkwardness afterward, because, well… I had just dropped that on her out of nowhere.

For once, though, I'm not going to try to predict it.

I just know that after months of wondering "What if I had told her?", I finally did.

And holy shit, I was shaking like crazy while saying it. 😂

I genuinely never thought I'd have the balls to tell someone this.

So yeah…

That's the update.

Anyone interested in Azure?

Hey everyone,

I recently completed my first year at Cognizant and I'm currently trying to transition into Azure/Cloud-related roles.

I recently cleared AZ-104 and realized that certifications alone aren't enough. While studying helped me understand Azure concepts, I still need much more practical experience in real-world project implementation.

Recently, I tried building a small project, and it was supposed to be simple, but I ended up spending hours troubleshooting authentication and permission issues 😅. That's when I realized I need much more hands-on practice.

So If you are also:

Learning Azure Cloud

Preparing for AZ-104 / AZ-204 / AZ-400 / GH-200

Building Azure projects

Looking for accountability and consistent learning

We can start with small projects, learn together, troubleshoot issues, review each other's work and gradually build more realistic cloud projects.

No need to be an expert. I'm still learning myself.

If anyone is interested, please comment or DM me.

Let's build some cool cloud projects and help each other grow.

Cleared AZ-104 recently but confused about next steps!!

**EDIT**
Thanks Everyone, I am now planning to learn Terraform and build a project to showcase and gain hands-on skills.

Hey everyone,
Please take some time and read this. I would really appreciate if someone can guide me here.

I have around 10 months of experience working in an MNC on IBM AS/400 (legacy system), mainly in a production support role. To be honest, the tech is quite old and the salary is also on the lower side, so I’ve been planning to move into cloud roles.

That’s why I prepared for AZ-104, and I passed it 2 days back.

Now I’m stuck and a bit confused about what to do next.

I know that realistically, with my current experience, I probably won’t directly get an Azure Administrator role externally. I’m also trying to switch internally if possible.

I spoke to one of my managers, and they suggested going for DP-700 (Azure Fabric Data Engineer Associate). Their reasoning was:

- It’s relatively easier compared to other paths

- Better chances for entry-level roles

- More openings in data-related roles compared to admin

At the same time, I’ve also been thinking about DevOps, but I currently don’t have strong scripting or coding skills yet.

So now I’m a bit confused between:

- Continuing with Data Engineering (DP-700)

- Trying to move towards DevOps

My current situation:

- 10 months experience (AS/400 support)

- AZ-104 certified

- Basic programming knowledge (Java, Python basics)

- Very limited real-world cloud hands-on

My goal:

- Switch to a cloud-related role (internally or externally)

- Build a strong, future-proof and AI-proof skillset

Would love to hear honest suggestions from people in the industry:

- What path makes the most sense for someone in my position?

- What would give me the fastest chance to switch roles?

- What skills/projects should I prioritize next?

Thanks in advance!

Passed AZ-104 today!!!!!!!

Hey everyone,

I passed AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) today with a score of 750 and this was my FIRST ATTEMPT, and honestly… I didn’t expect to pass at all.

The main reason I booked the exam was that I had a voucher expiring this week, so I just wanted to experience the real exam and see how it feels.

I don’t have any professional Azure experience — everything I learned was from online resources (Udemy, MS Learn, labs), along with help from tools like Gemini and Microsoft Copilot to understand concepts better.

A bit of background:

- In December 2025, I attempted AZ-900 and failed with 683 after about 2 weeks of prep (used Scott Duffy’s Udemy course)

- That was pretty demotivating, so I stopped for a while

- Over the past ~6 months, I studied for AZ-104 very inconsistently

What I used for AZ-104:

- Microsoft Learn + official GitHub labs

- Alan Rodrigues’ Udemy course

- John Savill’s Exam Cram (watched it just yesterday before the exam)

But the biggest help:

👉 Shirin Khan’s Udemy practice tests

Those tests really helped me understand:

- Question patterns

- Scenario-based thinking

- Actual difficulty level

The real exam felt very similar to those practice tests, which made a huge difference.

Also, I’ll be honest:

- I guessed some questions

- I wasn’t 100% sure on everything

But the exam wasn’t as tough as I expected from what I had read here on Reddit. It’s definitely challenging, but not impossible if you understand the concepts and practice enough questions.

If someone like me can pass with inconsistent prep, I think it’s definitely doable with a more structured approach.

Thanks to this community as well — reading others’ posts helped me stay in the loop.

Would appreciate any suggestions on what to learn next (AZ-204 vs AZ-305 vs AZ-400). I have almost 0 experience in Coding/Development..
