Selling my Kleidschrank

Hello everyone, I bought some furniture from my old tenant when I moved in, and now I want to sell only the "Kleidschrank" , but since I paid for the whole furniture together, I can't determine for how much should I sell the Schrank. All I know is that it is IKEA Pax (201 * 58 * 200). And I searched with the pictures through IKEA website but couldn't find the same product. I assume its price is somewhere between 500-600 euro. But I can't really tell.

IKEA itself has a resell service but only for a specific group of products and mine is not part of these products

So is there any kind of service in Würzburg that can determine a price for it and buy it from me ?

Also if someone is interested, you can happily reach me and I can send you the pictures of it and we can decide on the price

To send a message first before a trial lesson or not to.

Hi Preply teachers, do you prefer that students send you a message to explain their goals and needs then book a trial lesson to discuss it. Or do you think that it is better that students book a trial lesson first ( maybe as a sign of being serious and commitment) then discuss it in the trial lesson with more time?

Goethe online course ( group course)

Hi everyone, I plan to start my c1 course , for this level I was planning to take it in Goethe Institute. And since I don't have it in my city, I will do the online course.

But since the course fees is a bit expensive compared to the other schools, I wanted to ask if it really worth it. Has anyone had recently the online course and can mention if the course really deserves the money.

Native German teacher VS non native teacher

Hi. So I am learning German since 2 years and my level now is advanced intermediate . I don't know if someone had similar experiences, but I always had the feeling that non-native teachers can explain the language much better than natives?

The reason for that is , I think since native speaker didn't actively learn the language, and they just know the words and grammar intuitively, they can't really explain it as a non native who learned the language actively.

Do you think this is a general rule or it just depends on the personality of the teacher?

A question regarding the 3 months notice period for a contract cancellation

Hello everyone

So I informed my landlady that I will move out in a written letter on 8th June (08.06.2026) . And based on the contract, I have a 3 months notice period to inform my landlady about the moving out so she can look for another tenant ( she doesn't allow me to look myself).

I was then expecting that my contract will get cancelled on 8th September (08.09.2026), but she told it will be cancelled on 1st October (01.10.2026) and I will have to pay the rent of the whole month of September.

I was expecting that I can pay only September as a half month ( half rent ) but she told me that I will have to pay it as a whole month. I just want to make sure is this what the law says ? Can't I ask to pay September as a half rent, since this will be already more than 3 months?

How to make sure I am not paying extra money for the furniture when renting a room?

Hello

I will be moving to an new place and since I don't have a furniture, I decided to buy the furniture that is already in the room from the guy who is living there, since this will save me a lot of time and effort to transport new furniture. I agreed to the price he offered and signed the contract, but honestly when I reflect on this, I feel the price is a bit overestimated and the furniture cost much less. Is there anything I can do to make sure that I am not paying extra money, can I ask him to send me the information of the furniture pieces or the receipt if he has it?

I am thinking now that I might ask him to take the furniture from the room and I will buy my own , but since I already signed the contract, this might be a problem.

Any ideas ?

Would you pay Double Rent for 3 months ?

Hallo, I am in a Situation in which I live already in a place that is around an hour away from my Work place, now I found a good Apartment Just 10 minutes away, but the only Problem is it is rented starting from June, and I can only terminate my contract from my current place with a 3-month noticed period. So If I want to Take the new Apartment, I will have to pay Double Rent for 3 months. Do you think this is normal or should I wait and Look for another place that can be rented a Bit later?
