Recommendations

Hey all, I’m coming up this weekend to visit my parents, with my wife in tow. We come to JH multiple times a year and do all of the outdoor things for the last 15 years or so.. BUT my wife just blew her MCL last week.. what obscure activities could you recommend while limping around in a knee brace? Our usual hike, bike, raft activities just won’t do.. what am I missing? Open to all suggestions.

Love, your greeny neighbors.

Stanley Idaho (upper salmon)

Doing a Colorado>Idaho>Wyoming road trip and I’m gonna bring my little 10’ boat.. is the Stanley day trip worth doing in the second week of August? Here in Colorado it’s very much rock did fun time but still fun to paddle and crush some beers and swim.

Put it at the Sunbeam dam, take out in Clayton. Whitewater app is giving me a rage of CFS,
Figured I’d just ask the crew here..

Thanks!

Removing one of three thwarts to allow more storage?

I’m planning to R4 and overnight a 12’ raft with 3 thwarts, was curious is it feasible to remove a single thwart to make room for dry bags/cooler/drybox.

If so would center be the best bet?

Or hell no, we’re gonna taco if I take out a thwart?

This will likely be in class 2/3 max

RMR Sb120 vs Star Outlaw 120

Welp,

I’m looking for a new 12’ boat to R2 and R4 down the Colorado. After going over the needs and wants and yadda yadda over and over ive settled on these two boats..

I like to customer service of RMR, they have been amazing, but I get employee pricing on Star/NRS products.

This boat will be primarily day trip paddle boat, with maybe a frame/oar upgrade later one. Single over nights on the upper C at most..

I’m torn on what boat to go with!! Pros and cons?

Thanks!

Paddle choices

I’m looking to get a nicer paddle, for no reason other than I want it. NRS custys are fine, but I want some cooler lol

What is the difference between a WW paddle and one labeled as a “guide stick”?

Is it usually length? Because I’m 6’6 and already use a 66” paddle, which I’m very comfortable with.

Someone school me!

Thanks everyone.
