I think I hate having the data?!

Hi everyone! First cycle using Mira. I was able to get the device and the wands covered by my fertility benefit so I figured whyyyy not.

For context, we are a two mom family trying for our second child. Our first daughter we conceived via IUI #2 with frozen donor sperm. We decided to try our hand a couple of rounds of at home insemination since we have several vials left.

Prior to Mira we attempted last month, but I think we pulled the trigger a bit too early and frozen sperm does not last as long in the body as fresh sperm. SO, on this second cycle I thought having Mira along with all the other LH strips and test would be great.

TURNS OUT, it has made me aggressively more anxious. Not to mention my cycle is running a couple of days behind what it has been doing for months now. (Probably because I’m stressing) So needless to say, I’m super stressed and I guess I’m just venting. Mira as a tool is honestly super super cool and I love seeing the information but for whatever reason it’s kinda making me lose my mind lol can anyone relate?

Dry shipper refill - help!!

Hi everyone!

I have 2 donor sperm vials in a dry shipper for an at-home insemination. They shipped 8/13, and I’m now CD14 (8/18) with no LH surge yet. I’m getting fertile CM and my hormones look like I’m getting close, but thing are delayed compared to cycles passed.

CCB says the shipper is validated for 7 days (which is in two days), so I’m starting to worry about timing. Has anyone had to deal with this?

Were you able to have the dry shipper refilled/recharged with LN2 locally, either at fertility clinic, or a cryogenic facility?

I’m in Colorado Springs, if anyone has specifically done this locally.

I know CCB may have options, but I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actually been in this situation!

Order of vials for at-home insemination

Hi all, we are doing our second cycle of at home insemination this week. We have 1 ICI vial and 1 IUI vial to use. I know IUI vials are less than ideal for at home ICI but it’s what cryobank had left so, it is what it is!

So my question to the group is, if there any reason we should use them in any particular order? Our plan is to inseminate once about 12hrs after surge and the second about 18-24hours after surge. Of course paying attention to all the physical signs like ewcm, cervix position, etc.

I’ve read queer conception and been tracking for 6months at this point. Would love to know if anyone has any thoughts about the order or if I’m just overthinking it at this point hahaha Thanks!

Mira hormone tracker

I just got one through my work benefits. Has anyone used one? Has it been helpful or successful in at home ICI? Or other treatments like IUI?

Up to this point I’ve jsut been using LH strips and tracking cervical mucus, cervix by feel etc.

Would love to hear if/how it has or has not been useful to you!

FWIW, I got the ultra4 kit. Tracks LH, estrogen, progesterone and FSH.

HVAC recommendations

Looking to get a second opinion on our AC. Had Around the Clock come out today and they gave us quote. Would love to hear others experiences or recommendations (preferably locally owned) Thanks!

At home insemination TWW

Hi everyone! My wife and I are trying for our second child via ICI at home. Our first we conceived on the 2nd unmedicated IUI. We felt super lucky that it worked so quickly for us.

When it came time for us to start thinking about a second child we’ve hemming and hawwing about it for over a year. We love our family of three but I can’t quite let go of the idea of another. So we decided that with our two remaining vials we’d give at home a go and if that little being is meant to be here, it will happen. (Yes i know the rates of ICI are low especially with frozen sperm but i truly dont want to do IVF.)

Anyway, I’ve been cycle tracking for months now and we finally decided to give it a go this cycle. Inseminated last night and now I’m here in the tww. I feel pretty good about our timing and all the things and yeah! Idk it’s obviously all I can think about so here I am on Reddit.

Ok, byeeee

Genuine question about menstrual cups + at-home ICI

I’ve been reading a lot of success stories from couples doing at-home ICI with frozen sperm, and I keep seeing people mention using a menstrual cup to help keep everything in place. But I can’t wrap my head around the mechanics of it?

Like… you deposit the sperm near your cervix, and then right after you’re sliding a menstrual cup up there too? Doesn’t that push the sperm out of the way or create a barrier between it and the cervix? I feel like I’m missing something obvious but it genuinely breaks my brain a little. Can someone explain how inserting the cup doesn’t mess up placement?
