Warehouse managers—we’d value your feedback

Warehouse managers—we’d value your feedback

We’re a Brisbane software company developing a tool to reduce the paperwork involved in unloading containers.

It uses warehouse cameras to record:

  • When unloading starts and finishes
  • The container number
  • How many pallets are removed
  • Delays during unloading
  • Photos of any damaged goods

After unloading, it automatically creates a job report with the important times and photos.

How do you record this information now? Would an automatic report save your team time? What else should it include?

We have an early working demo and would appreciate honest feedback from warehouse managers.

How do I move my software agency beyond referrals and scale to the next stage?

Hi everyone,

I run a software development agency in Australia. We have a solid delivery team, and until now, most of our focus has been on delivering projects and managing operations.

The business has grown mainly through referrals and word of mouth. However, business development hasn’t been our strength, and we don’t have a consistent sales or lead-generation process.

I feel like we’re ready to move to the next stage, but I’m honestly unsure what the right next step is.

Would hiring an experienced BDM help, or would it be better to first work with a paid mentor who has actually scaled a software agency or B2B technology business? I’m also wondering whether I should continue handling sales myself, with guidance from the right person.

Has anyone here been in a similar position? What worked for you? If you know a suitable mentor or adviser, I’d really appreciate a recommendation.

Cheers!

Brisbane AI team looking for feedback on a container-unloading proof of concept

Hi everyone,

We’re an AI development team based in Brisbane, Australia, and we’re looking for some honest feedback from people working in logistics, warehousing or container unloading.

We’ve developed an early computer vision proof of concept that analyses activities from video footage. We’re now exploring whether it could be useful for container unloading and loading-dock operations—for example:

* Tracking when unloading starts and finishes

* Identifying periods when work stops

* Measuring total container turnaround time

* Tracking pallet or item movements

* Identifying delays during unloading

You can view our early proof of concept here:

https://cv.ishtech.com.au/deep-inspect/

It’s still at an early stage, and we’re not trying to sell anything. We’re sharing it because we’d genuinely like feedback from people who understand the industry.

Would something like this be useful in your operation? How do you currently track unloading times and delays? What would it need to measure to provide real value?

Any honest feedback would be really appreciated.

Looking for an Industrial Computer Vision Mentor

Hi everyone,

I'm based in Brisbane and looking to connect with someone who has experience building an industrial computer vision business.

I'm interested in mentorship or paid consulting around product strategy, partnerships, enterprise sales and go-to-market, particularly for logistics and warehousing.

If this sounds like your background, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!

Looking for a mentor with experience in industrial/applied computer vision — not a technical question

New founder building a B2B hardware + software company applying computer vision to industrial use cases. Not looking for a lead-gen tip list or a quick technical answer — genuinely looking for a mentor or someone experienced in applied/industrial CV (not just research) who'd be open to talking through early-stage product and go-to-market decisions.

Any recommendations for where to find that kind of person, or communities where this kind of mentorship happens? Appreciate any pointers.
