Sticky situation

Need some advice. Yesterday I was working with a colleague on something and all she did was complain about another coworker basically thinking she got an “easier“ workload than her. Mind you this job is making many people redundant and just last month fired a couple of people because their arguments got way too heated and personal. So right now the bosses are looking for any excuse to get rid of us. This coworker I’m working with is a very old woman and she’s been employed here for about 20 years. But at the same time I don’t want tell the other coworker (who’s in her 30s) that she’s been b*tching about you. They usually don’t see each other and when they do it’s friendly but the constant b*tching was literally annoying.

Btw I did tell her to stop but at the same she doesn’t give a flying f*ck. Plus she’s elder woman I don‘t want to get her fired because that young woman will get super aggressive on her if she found out 😅

Dark lighting

2 days ago I finished watching The Nun and I was wondering am I the only one that is annoyed how dark lit the movie is? I enjoyed the film but I would have enjoyed it more if I could see what I was seeing 🙄. Thankfully near the end of the film the lighting got a bit better but not much.

Vic McQueen

I was looking at my bookshelf today and I forgot I still had The Fireman and need to return it to the library. But I started to think even though I love disaster and apocalyptic type novels and movies I still preferred NOS4A2. Even though I liked Harper Grayson there is something about Vic from NOS4A2 that I really like. Her whole journey is something I’ve never read before and while reading it I’ve wondered why don‘t you delete yourself because I would have 😅

I almost felt emotional

I just finished watching season 1 episode 6 “Family Limitations“ for the first time. And near the end of the epsiode Nelson Van Alden flagellates himself because of his “sinful“ desires. Not gonna lie I almost teared up because me coming from a Muslim background used to be like that. Obviously not to that extent but any “haram“ behaviour I did I would slap myself. Thankfully I’m not a fundamentalist anymore and my view of religion in general has drastically changed. But that scene brought back so many emotions of my younger years as a staunch religious person.

Btw right now fuck Al Capone the way he speaks to his family is disgusting

Erm……

Hey guys I’m new to watching Broadwalk Empire and I’m on season 1 episode 2. I thought Jimmy had a secret mistress or something but that was his mom? Not gonna lie that kind of freaked me out a bit. I like Jimmy as a character but his mom’s introduction was so weird 😅.

btw even though it’s epsiode 2 this show is fantastic

Edit: I’m chuckling from some of the replies but also getting worried like is my boy Jimmy gonna do something weird? But anyway I’m definitely gonna stay of this subreddit until I finish the show. Thanks for the replies 👍🏾

Interesting [discussion]

I was at work the other day and even though I chew loud (and possibly other coworkers might get annoyed by me) I also don’t like listening to other people chew especially my family. Why is that? And when I put on a ASMR video of people chewing food or whatever it relaxes me. Is my brain broken or something? Does anyone else have similar experience 😭😅

Uncomfortable

For a couple of years I stopped listening to anything Rap or Hip Hop related but had a bit of nostalgia feeling recently and started to listen to rap music again. So when listening to Eminem‘s music I forgot how brutal he was lyrically to Kim. And I saw a recent video of her attending court and she looked horrible and I felt bad for her. For those that grew up in the height of Eminem‘s fame and glory and now looking back do you also get uncomfortable when he mentions Kim in his music?
