Finally getting around to this project, can’t wait to button it up and get this thing dialed in and setup to rip!!!

Was thinking 50k rear and front diffs with 20million center.

Any other recommendations?

Xmaxx/Xrt stand pictured

Been sitting at my local shop since it launched, can’t believe it was still there today. They were kind enough to let it go for MSRP so I made a questionable decision today but thinking it was right.

Pictures and videos do not begin to describe the actual size and scale!

Can’t wait to find some decent 6S packs, first run with 12s.

Going to try it on 8s but assuming It’ll be slow but still fun.

Any tips for this massive beast?

Greatest weekend ever!

Tested the qs8 connectors in 48” proboat tonight with the 55mm prop, initial pass temps checked so ran rest of packs fairly hard on the throttle and launches.

Temps were 111 motor and 118 esc after an abusive run, hoping I can keep the 55mm prop as it really wakes this boat up.

SMC packs are legitimately awesome too, they were warm not hot like those hovoo packs I was running.

Melted a as8 to ic5 connector using a 55mm prop so trying qs8 connectors on the proboat.

I’m kind of surprised at the quality of soldering done on the boat and the batteries I swapped tonight, first time.

Anyhow excited to see if this will work now also ordered a thermometer for temps when I get back on water.

Hoping it’ll work how I zip tied the qs8 esc ends, figured those should be flopping around in there with their weight.

I like to tinker but not sure if I should be.

Put a 55mm rcboatbitz prop on the boat, liked the performance of it vs stock.

At first I assumed this was a factory defect on the hovoo 10000 pack as both wires came out.

I then was so smart I decided to use a battery with qs8 connector but the adapter is now stuck in the boat.

If I swap the factory ic5 to qs8 would that solve my problem?

Note that there are no visible signs of melting on the esc wires or the connectors or that stuck adapter visible.

I need to check voltage on the qs8 packs I used last but far as I know there was never any thermal shutdowns either.

Option 2 is to install new esc and motor but I’m not sure I am up to that task.

Or what do you recommend?

Was going to jump straight into a bigger motor and esc but now I have realized that is foolish for my goals. Just looking for 55mph to start and hoping that is achievable with prop change.

The boat was purchased new this spring, I am seeing different sizes listed online and unsure what to buy far as diameter and shaft sizing.

Looking at a 55mm from rc boat bitz along with their thicker turning fins as I’ve bent mine already.

What else should I be looking at far as upgrades go?

Are there any proven props for above 55mph while keeping temps ok?

Or should I just enjoy it as is bc it sure is a lot of fun, however a bit more speed would be neat.

Was also thinking about ordering some SMC batteries, are there better options there?

I’m not proud or happy about it but somehow managed to crack the hull on my proboat 48.

Was bashing it pretty hard on the Saginaw Bay and had a couple blowovers and abrupt stops due to chop.

One of the blowovers caused both batteries to come loose from their trays, one even came out of its plug.

Definitely a fun boat but has its limits even in stock format in rough water. Waves were 1 foot or so, and damn was it fun sending it.

I have some black 5200 thinking about using it to seal up the crack. Do I need to drill it on both ends?

Or should I do something different all together?

Only second weekend running it but damn is it a blast.

This play is the same amount on both sides of this pro r front diff. I was told by dealer it’s normal but seems like something is worn or about to break here.

One axle is original and other side was replaced last summer when I tore a boot from debris in mud.

Anyhow I don’t remember this amount of play and wanted to hear from others.

I confirmed 4WD lock works earlier, no unusual noises.

Excited to get there this weekend and test this out.

Taking a set of belted tires and another pair of paddles to test on front of XRT too.

Heading to silver lake sand dunes this weekend and looking forward to testing this setup out.

Went into the hobby store for a Traxxas boat for my son’s birthday in April.

Things escalated.

Finally got to rip the proboat last weekend and words can not express how much fun it was running through packs in it. I did flip it once and top latch was knocked loose, luckily a nearby boater saw it and brought it in. Fairly sure I did not have one of the battery trays in correctly and it’s what caused the top hatch to come loose when I flipped it causing it to fill with water and it wouldn’t self right. Running 10000mah packs so tad heavy maybe?

After that incident on my second run there were no problems all weekend.

The fact I can set throttle to 50 or 75 was nice for kids too.

Wish I skipped the Traxxas And went with a 36” proboat for son but there’s always another time to upgrade. Not knocking the Disruptor, it runs fast on a 4S pack.

Speaking of upgrades, how difficult would it be to get another 10-15mph out of this 48? I’ve got a large lake to run on.

That direct fit 12S esc work with stock motor? I’d prefer not to worry about temps.

If not is there a motor option that utilizes stock mount and cooling?

I don’t mind tinkering and I did just learn to solder but don’t want to get too crazy here unless there are proven setups that are fairly easy to duplicate.

Just over 3,000 hours on a 295es, typically run it on high lamp mode.

Should I go for 4,000 if the picture seems ok?
