I just had to temporarily remove my book from Wattpad and honestly… this hurts 😭
I recently enrolled Ikhtilaaf E Ishq in Amazon KDP Select, which means the Kindle edition has to remain exclusive to Amazon during the 90-day enrollment period.
So today I had to unpublish the story from Wattpad.
And I know technically it's just a book, but when you've spent so much time writing something and then watched people read it, comment on it, vote for it, and become attached to the characters… removing it feels weirdly emotional.
Ikhtilaaf E Ishq has been on Wattpad for a long time, and seeing the reads grow was honestly one of the biggest motivations for me to keep writing. I never expected so many people to find Haider and Noor and actually care about their story.
Now the story is sitting there unpublished and I'm just staring at it like 😭
I KNOW I made this decision myself. 😂
I KNOW it's probably the right move if I want to try KDP Select and Kindle Unlimited.
But still…
670k+ reads and then suddenly “unpublished”???
That hurts. 😭
I'm hoping this is just a temporary goodbye. Once my KDP Select period is over, I'll have to decide whether to bring it back to Wattpad or continue with Amazon exclusively.
For now, I just wanted to rant because I know other Wattpad writers will understand the feeling.
Have you ever had to remove a story from Wattpad after building a readership around it? How did you feel about it?
I have an idea for a book called Navratri, With Love what do you think?
I’ve been thinking about writing a book called Navratri, With Love, and I’d genuinely love to hear what readers/writers here think about the concept.
The story would be set during Navratri, with the festival, garba nights, family gatherings, traditions, music, colours and Ahmedabad/Gujarat atmosphere playing a big role in the story.
I want the romance to develop alongside the festival rather than making Navratri just a background setting. The idea is to capture that feeling of meeting someone during those nine nights and slowly realizing that maybe the festival isn’t the only thing making your heart race.
I’m still developing the plot and characters, so I wanted to ask:
Would a romance novel centred around Navratri and Gujarati culture interest you as a reader?
What would make you want to pick up a book with a title like Navratri, With Love?
And if you’re familiar with Navratri/garba culture, what details would you LOVE to see represented authentically in a romance?
I’d really appreciate honest opinions even if you think the concept needs work!
I have 10 half written stories and I want to complete them
I have 10 half-written stories and I’m officially out of ideas
I’ve got around 10 stories that I started but never completed because I either lost the plot, ran out of ideas, or suddenly got obsessed with another story.
Now I really want to finish them instead of leaving them abandoned forever.
Writers/readers of Reddit, how do you get ideas to complete a story when you’re stuck?
Do you plan the ending first? Take a break? Kill a character? Add a plot twist?
Any advice, prompts, methods, or even random ideas would be appreciated!
Please help me rescue my 10 unfinished babies.
How do I promote my first book on Reddit?

Hi everyone! I’m a Wattpad writer and I’m getting ready to publish my novel Ikhtilaaf E Ishq as both an eBook and paperback on Amazon KDP.
I’m completely new to promoting a book outside of Wattpad, so I’d love some advice from experienced authors/readers here.
How did you promote your book when you first published it?
What platforms, strategies, or types of posts actually helped you get readers and sales?
I’d especially love advice on:
- Promoting on Reddit without being spammy
- Finding the right subreddits for romance/self-published books
- Promoting an eBook vs. paperback
- Getting my first 50–100 genuine readers
- Using my existing Wattpad audience to support the launch
Any advice, mistakes to avoid, or things you wish you'd known before launching would be really appreciated. ❤️
Thank you!
How to publish my own book as paperback??
How can I publish my own book?
Hi everyone! I’ve written my own book and now I want to publish it. I’m completely new to the publishing process, so I’d love to hear from authors here how did you publish your first book, and what would you recommend for someone starting out?
Any advice would be really appreciated! ❤️
I just completed my third book — Wafa E Ishq ❤️ | Ishq Series

I still can't believe I'm writing this. 🥹❤️
After all the characters, chaotic family moments, late-night writing sessions, countless rewrites, and so many emotional scenes… Wafa E Ishq, the third book in my Ishq Series, is finally complete on Wattpad!
✨ Ishq Series
Ikhtilaaf E Ishq
Makhfi E Ishq
Wafa E Ishq
This series has become such a huge part of my writing journey, and finishing the third book feels incredibly special.
Wafa E Ishq is a rom-com filled with love, friendship, family chaos, banter, emotions, and of course… plenty of Ishq. 😂❤️
Writing a book is one thing, but actually reaching THE END is a completely different feeling.
I'm sharing this here because I would genuinely love to connect with other writers and readers on Reddit. If you're also working on a novel, series, or Wattpad story, tell me about it! I'd love to hear what you're writing. 🫶🏻
And if you'd like to check out Wafa E Ishq, it's available on my Wattpad. ❤️
Three books down. More Ishq to come. ✨📖

Anyone have idea how Wattpad writers got more reads
