How "last-minute" was Rock Star pulled from Live Through This?

"Rock Star" was originally slated to close the album, but a last-minute decision was made to replace the track with "Olympia". Since the artwork had already been printed, however, the title of "Rock Star" remained and was also used for further releases.

I'm curious if anyone knows the actual timeline of this.

Thanks!

[Love] When “small” injuries are treated realistically

The fantasy and action genres often suffer from a power fantasy epidemic in which characters frequently badass their way through injuries that should be excruciating if not downright debilitating. I always appreciate stories that reject this trope.

1: Roland Deschain (Dark Tower Book II) - Loses the middle and index fingers of his right hand. He’s effectively crippled throughout book two and the injury follows him the rest of the series.

2: Brienne vs Biter (ASOIAF Book IV) - Brutal scene. Biter chomps down on Brienne’s cheek and tears off a chunk of flesh. In a lesser story Brienne would grit her teeth and throw Biter off. Instead she’s rendered completely helpless by the pain. That injury marks the end of the fight.

[Spoilers] The cycle of The Wolves

This is the same cycle as Pennywise/IT, right? It says 24 years, but time is weird in Midworld, so let's just call it 27.

So every 27 years, a bunch of children are kidnapped/disappear, and are taken by monsters (albeit this time, robotic)?

Got it.

Who changed the graffiti?

In Wolves, they go to the lot and what's scrawled there has changed from the Turtle bit to the stuff about Susannah-Mio. She gives birth to Mordred at the Dixie Pig, right? This explains the 'parked her rig' part, but it says 'divided girl of mine." Whose? Is this Maturin or King? They're at the Rose, where all is beautiful and perfect, so I'd like to think Maturin (especially given the actual skolpada statue in real life being at Hammerskold Plaza (site of the lot, no?). Would love to hear everyone's thoughts. To me, it's this omniscience telling her/us something is coming, and as a writing element it's foreboding, but as an actual plot piece, it's showing her she's going to be okay. She ultimately leaves Roland and lives a whole new life in the end, so maybe some serious foreshadowing?

Windom Earle and Spiritualism

In the Miss Twin Peaks episode of season 2, Windom Earle makes his run for the Lodge. During the content, dressed as The Log Lady he makes his move on Annie.

In this scene, the lights are strobed like we see with Doppelcoop and Bob laughing, and I just wonder if he's attempting some sort of a ritual here, spiritualism to help get him out of our realm and into the next?

It's strangely similar, and given his next moves, seems intentional so as to conjure something.

"Crone" by Keith Rosson [No Spoilers]

I had an advance copy of this and finished recently, and wow, was it fun! He once again returns to Washington state, which is quickly becoming its own character in his works. He once again returns with the gritty crime. He's absolutely crushing it right now, and I'll read anything he puts out!
