Outgrowing the club

Does anyone think that the original club members only stayed in the babysitters club to humor Kristy? When do you think that they started to outgrow the club and started having other interests and hobbies?

Janine Kishi

I actually don't think that Janine is the bully that Claudia makes her out to be. I think that Claudia is just very insecure. The books never actually show if Janine is the way she is because of parental pressure. It was a common stereotype back then that immigrant families put a lot of unnecessary pressure on their children to achieve academically. Janine could have very well been under enormous pressure from her parents and Claudia wasn't as academically inclined, so didn't feel the pressure The way that Janine did. So I don't think that Janine got a fair break because all Claudia does is criticize her constantly. I don't blame Claudia for being jealous, but I think that she was obviously jealous of Janine and very insecure. So Janine was portrayed pretty unfairly

Watson and Elizabeth

This might sound weird, but I've been wondering if Watson had an affair with Elizabeth and that's what ended the marriage. When Kristy talks about the first time she has to look after Karen and Andrew, she mentions that their divorce isn't finalized yet and it does sound like Watson and Elizabeth had been together for awhile at that point. I also noticed how Lisa made a lot of effort to try to stop Karen and Andrew having equal time with Watson and it almost felt like she was guilt tripping her kids about it. I'm divorced and have a child with my ex. So I do understand how these things work (e.g. mother's typically get primary custody unless they are completely screwed up.) But i just thought that it was interesting

Wills trial

I found Will's storyline interesting, but I personally think that it was handled badly and if it was done accurately, Megan would have never gone to prison. I have first hand experience with court trials of similar nature and in real life, Will would have never been allowed to go back on the stand and change his statement. They would have torn him to shreds over his interactions with Megan after she was arrested and there would have been too much evidence suggesting that it was all consensual on his part and Megan would have just been able to claim that he was at the age of consent and had clearly never shown that he was scared of her or that he acted like he was being coherced into a relationship. As morbid as it sounds, I think that coro needs to show storylines where the abuser is found not guilty and the victim has to deal with seeing their abuser in public etc. I think that it would be more relatable for some people

Enclosures

Could this enclosure be used for pets other than a bearded dragon in the future? Reptiles or otherwise

Ankle surgery

Hi

6 months after spraining my ankle, I have discovered that my lateral ankle ligaments have ruptured and that i will need surgery for stabilization. Is there anything I should know or need to avoid ahead of my surgery? (i haven't got a date yet.) I'm able to walk with a bit of a limp. But I'm struggling with feeling like my ankle bones are grinding together or locking up

Voldemort and the Malfoys

I always found it really interesting that voldemort allowed the Malfoys to survive and didn't just get rid of them as soon as he took over Malfoy manor. He murdered people without a moments consideration all the time. Why not the Malfoys? He was happy to let pettigrew die after humiliating him and treating him like garbage for years. So keeping the Malfoys alive just to humiliate them, seems pointless. I don't know if this question has already been answered, so I'm curious

Cross examination

Hi

In a criminal trial, does it look bad if a defense attorney spends hours cross examining a victim on small insignificant matters unrelated to the charges, solely with the intent of questioning the victims honesty. Especially if they are small details (conversations with the defendant etc) from years prior?

Prayers for justice

On Thursday I have a court trial where my ex-husband is facing multiple charges of domestic violence. I would like some prayers for justice and for my ex's lies to be exposed

Powerful villans

Recently I was thinking about what it would have been like if some of the villans had been on the "good side." Instead of supporting voldemort. I personally think that Bellatrix lestrange would have been a real asset to the order and a great auror if she had been using that same manic devotion to focus on destroying voldemort rather than supporting him. What other dark wizards/witches do you think would have actually been assets to the "good side" if their priorities had been in the right place?

Sams hallucinations

I think quite interesting that sams hallucinations are to do with will and not Megan. Megan was the one threatening him and making things difficult at school. So why is it Will that sam is seeing? I thought that Megan would seem more threatening to him. I'm finding this particular storyline quite interesting, so I just wondered what other people's thoughts are?
