what bachelor’s programs actually count as a surveying degree for LSIT?

my state doesn’t even HAVE a college that offers a 4yr, ABET-accredited surveying program. What we do have are forestry, natural resources, geography/GIS, and similar BS programs.

as someone who graduated with a degree in one of the above, and took a field surveying course, does my degree count as a 4yr surveying degree?

Normally I would think not, but my state’s association of land surveyors says this:

“Licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor is required in all fifty states and the U.S. Territories. To obtain licensure, many states require a degree in Surveying and Mapping or related sciences, along with four years experience working under the supervision of a licensed professional land surveyor.
Licensure may also be obtained through extensive experience under a licensed professional or in conjunction with college specializations in any of the following disciplines:
Land Surveying
Forestry
Geographic Information Systems
Geography
Environmental Science
Civil Engineering
Natural Resource Management”

Does anyone have any insight on this? I can’t tell if my degree counts—this could be a big jump in pay if it does.

Edit: also my state doesn’t even ask for ABET accreditation…

volunteer fire police w/ emergency cert?

this is probably in the wrong place, so..my bad.

I just graduated college and work full time. I’m on the pre med track. I’m thinking of jumping
Into an FD volunteer corps as fire police AND getting EMR cert to get both non clinical and clinical volunteering hours. EMT is great, but I don’t know if I have the time yet with my job. Firefighting is a maybe.

the reality is, call volume depends on the department—it’s different for everybody. Some depts might welcome my hybrid role, some might say it’s not worth it. But is this a silly idea? I’ve always wanted to jump into an FD corps, but I’ve also wanted to be realistic about what I can contribute while I prep for further education.

Any other recent grads or grad students looking for roommates?

I’m a recent uconn graduate (as in, this past weekend lol) about to start an entry-level role with the state of CT.

The two bedroom apts are literally so much better value than renting a studio alone but like

also i have a cat.

extra info: max budget $900, open to surrounding towns in the valley, and while I’m female, I’m open to co-ed roomies.
