A part of my story I'm really proud of!!

So I wrote this today. And I'm really proud of it. Of course this isn't the whole thing so a lot is missing, if you want to see the whole thing, check out my story alexithymia!! Anyways, my thought process when writing this was to just be the character. Write and don't delete because that is what she is doing. Slight spoilers but also definitely not the biggest one lol.

SO what do you think?

[Btw this is chapter 16 which will be out on August 16th (shout out 30DC)! So if you start reading now, by the time you're caught up, it'll be out and ready for you.]

Halfway done!!

I usually don't look at my word count because, like, who cares? I just want to write. But 15,000 words?! This is an achievement I don't think I've ever reached before. I just hit the halfway point of writing my story, alexithymia and I recently joined the 30 Day Challenge, but I still choose myself over my writing, so if I’m not feeling it, I’ll skip a day.

It’s been 12 days, and I’ve already hit 15,000 words! (I’m sure that’s easy for most people, but not for me lol.) Anyways, just wanted to share!

Very grateful!! <3

Originally, I started writing just for fun. I never really expected anyone else to read my stories, but pretty quickly, I realized that I wanted people to hear them. So I made a new Wattpad account and actually started publishing them. Best decision ever lol.

Looking for friends!!

Honestly, I'm just looking for people to connect with on Wattpad lol. If that means reading each other's stories too, I'm totally down. Right now it kinda feels like I'm just writing and reading on the app by myself. Drop your username! I'll let anyone post on my convo board too. Buttttt, if you're sharing your stories on my board, I'd really appreciate it if you try to checked out mine too. 😊

Let's be friends :)

How are these covers?

I made new matching covers for my new stories. How are they? If there's anyone offering to make better ones for free, I’m down for it lol.

What would get you to read a story where romance isn't the main focus?

I'm writing two new stories, and since I'm a new writer, I know the reads, comments, and votes are naturally coming in a little slowly. I'm not too worried about that, it's what I'd expect.

What I've noticed, though, is that when I'm on Wattpad as a reader, I almost always gravitate toward romance stories. Every now and then I'll stumble across an incredible story that isn't romance-focused, and I end up loving it just as much (sometimes even more), but still, most of my library is romance.

Since both of my stories are centered on self-discovery rather than romance, it got me thinking: if I naturally drift toward romance, others probably do so too. So I'm curious. What would make you give a non-romance story a chance? And more importantly, what keeps you reading once you've started?

I'd love to hear what draws you into stories where romance isn't the main focus.

New Story! @MJade1964: alexithymia

Title: alexithymia

Status: Ongoing (Updates Every Week!)

Blurb: Some people know exactly what they're feeling the moment they feel it. They know when they're angry, when they're lonely, when they've fallen in love, and when it's finally time to let something go. For everyone else, there's usually a reason.

Freya Davis has never been one of those people.

She has spent her entire life reacting before understanding, apologizing before reflecting, and realizing how she felt only after the moment had already passed. While everyone around her seems to move through life guided by instinct, Freya can only move forward through trial and error, hoping each mistake teaches her something she couldn't feel in time. When someone asks her how she feels, the simplest question for most becomes the hardest for her. Her most honest answer has always been, "I don't know."

Across the defining years of childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood, Freya learns that there are some things you don't grow out of. You only learn how to name them.

Transience

Hi! Here's is my first story Transience:

>The strange grief of getting everything you ever wanted.

After years of filming stories in her bedroom, sacrificing weekends, and chasing a dream nobody around her fully understood, Melani Carter earns a full scholarship to Oracle Film School in London. A new city. A new life. A chance to finally become the person she's always wanted to be. And somehow, it works. London gives Mel everything she hoped for: friendships that feel like family, a boy who sees her beyond the stories she creates, and a version of herself that feels more real than ever before.

So why does going home feel impossible? Because maybe the hardest part about chasing your dream isn't leaving. It's realizing you might not want to go back.

I hope you enjoy it!
