A better fob option
I've been testing these universal keys on my 23 EUV and so far so good. I prefer the plastic buttons so I'm sticking to the third one on the right.
All functions work. Nice to have options for customers.

I run into the weirdest shit some times.
2015 Honda Accord. Push to start. Vehicle is a repo so no history, nothing known about it.
I go check, push the button, I just get the beep, no message of key not found.
Ok cool, key is not in the car.
Generate an Autel, grab my smart pro, I press the unlock button, just a dumb habit, and it works.
The fuck?
Ok. Let's see if it starts for some reason. Nope.
Try to program the key, force the ignition on, registration failed "check that only one un-registered key is in the vehicle"
Ok. Remove generated key from car. Try to start, nothing, no message. Where the fuck is the key?!
Go on to programming with the key outside the vehicle. Same message.
I don't see any aftermarket alarms, nothing.
I'm going home.
So I've been trying to program this prox on a 2023 Sierra and it won't take the key. I have tried pretty much everything. This one has the shifter in the center console, so the slot for the key isn't in the cupholder.
Not the first one I've done so not sure what's going on. Tried different keys. Nothing. Same keys I tried, programmed without any issues in other trucks.
Any way to get to the sensor?
Edit: sigh...
Has anyone had this issue?
Key ordered by VIN, same key worked on another. Yes this is CAN-FD. Nothing happens after "ready for key #3"
I have not checked for coil signal so I guess that will be the next step. Pretty sure it's not receiving signal though.
We have taken our 2025 EQEV to the dealership over this issue twice and it seems like it will be a third time.
Dampness in the passanger foot well and also outside in the wheel well. We've dealt with mold twice. Dealer said they have sealed everything they might have missed the first time but it still gets moisture. They replaced carpet twice.
Is there something else we should be asking for? Is this routing issue? What solved this issue for you?
So I recently got a portable refrigerator that works off the 12v port in the cargo area. Draws about 100w.
If I leave it plugged in, car not charging, could it kill the 12v battery? Or will the BMS make sure the 12v doesn't die?
Anyway, this portable refrigerator can use an internal battery so it will run off of it when not driving.
Right when we need it the most...
Water isn't dispensing into the tray. Quick look, doesn't seem frozen. Found that you can jump start by jumping T and H. I had poured water into the tray so after jumping T and H, it harvested the ice.
Water never pumped, tried jumping V and L for the water valve, saw a spark, pulled the jump wire our immediately.
Did I mess it up? Or was there something wrong with the valve to begin with? The motor seems to turn fine, it's just not filling.
Come along with me to see if I make it from Lancaster to North Long Beach with this range.
I'm about to buy OEM crossbars and a Thule box to take advantage of the 25% off coupon expiring at the end of the month.
Has anyone installed a Motion 3 XL or XXL by Thule?
Is the XXL too big?
I've had this 2023 Bolt EUV for almost 2 years. After a SCE incentive it came out to $15k. 12k miles on it.
Now, I'm at 70k miles. I was messing around on the Chevy website and I was surprised to see an estimated trade in offer of $13k.
Looked into on my local market and it seems like I might be able to get the full $15k I initially paid.
Interested in upgrading to the new RS model.
I don't see a reason not to do this. What do you guys think?
