could i change the number of hours i work

got an interview for kitchen staff coming up and the role i applied for was contracted 12hrs. i was okay with this tbh but then i checked the job openings again for that same pub and saw there was an extra one for the same role but for 24hrs, obviously i didnt see that when i sent in my application lol.
would it be possible to discuss this with the manager on the interview day that i’d like to switch to 24hrs (if i were to get the job ofc) i’ve recently graduated uni and dont have anything else to do so i wanna get out the house as much as possible while i figure out what to do with my life. if not then im still happy with 12hrs but was just wondering anyway.
thanks in advance!

Large anomaly in a data set for calculating motor fleet premium, how to deal with it?

please excuse my lack of underwriting/insurance knowledge, im graduating uni soon and have a final stage interview case study presentation coming up and the last task is to calculate an appropriate premium for motor fleet insurance when given an excel sheet (5 years claims history and fleet information).

there is one extortionately large claim anomaly which is still outstanding in the claims history and so far i've (attempted to) calculate the premium in two cases - including and excluding the anomaly. however if you include the anomaly, the premium will be very high and the client will walk away, but if you exclude it, the insurance company will be at a loss. so how should i come up with a way to make sure both parties are satisfied in this situation? i have no idea what im doing helppppp

just absolutely botched an interview

it was so bad i hate my life i hate having to find jobs. i prepared my case study thing but then they started asking questions and my mind kept going blank. then they asked me a market sizing question and that went even worse, they kept having to give me prompts and i still wouldnt get it so most of the time it was awkward silence and me saying ‘jm not sure’ like wtaf they must think im stupid. i feel like the most stupid person on earth fml i didnt even apply for this in the first place bc the recruiter reached out to me on linkedin first. i wont even be surprised if they ghost/reject me

what to say after an interviewer answers your question at the end of the interview?

this is such a random and probably stupid question but what do you guys say after you ask a question and the employer answers it at the end of the interview?
i just had one today and they answered my question and dont get me wrong they answered it very well but i didnt really know what to say after so i was like 😀 thanks. then it was awkward silence for a few seconds after that.. AGGHHH like what am i meant to say!!!!!. i feel awkward saying ‘thats great’ bc it feels blunt but i dont know what else to say to it tbh bc like ive already gotten my answer. maybe im just awkward. like am i meant to say something more? sorry if this is such a stupid question i just couldnt stop thinking about it all day even though it most likely wasnt that deep lol

how do i approach my library crush lols

I (20F) have been studying in my uni library a lot recently since i have exams coming up, and i’ve noticed i always see this cute guy studying on the same floor as me. i’m pretty sure he’s on my course (i do maths) and i have spoken to him once because we sat next to each other in a tutorial one time (however we only spoke because we had to, the supervisor was like talk to the person next to you about this topic wtv). idek if he knows my name but ugh he was sooo cute and one time i got the lift in the library and he was in the lift at the same time as me but idk i got too scared so i didnt speak to him lol. im pretty sure he has the same exam as i do on friday so i’ll definitely see him in the library until then.
but also idek if its worth approaching him since i graduate university this year and most likely will never see him again :( itll be nice to use him as study motivation anyway even if i dont approach him. should i just do it anyway and see where it goes? or do i leave him a note? idk
AHHHH im scared hahaha
