Hello, planning to start paying taxes properly. May TIN na ako, and ever since VA/freelance work na talaga yung work ko, but I had to stop for a while due to medication. Ngayon medyo nakabalik na ulit sa momentum.

I’ve read na pwede na raw mag-register online sa BIR site. May nakapagtry na ba dito mag-DIY? Kumusta experience?

Questions ko sana:

- Ano usually yung requirements na need i-prepare?
- May need bang i-upload or isubmit na documents during registration?
- Ilang days bago ma-approve?
- Tama ba na “Professional - General” yung registration if multiple niches/services yung freelance work?
- Sa profession/work type selection, ano usually pinipili if hindi lang isang niche?

Also planning sana to choose the 8% non-VAT option.

- Tama ba understanding ko na invoices lang kailangan and mas simplified siya?
- Need pa ba ipa-stamp yung invoices and pumunta sa RDO office?
- If 8% non-VAT, tama ba na total income per quarter lang yung basis and no need na mag-compute ng expenses?

Would really appreciate insights especially from freelancers/VA/bookkeepers na nag-DIY 🙏
