New RAV4 - what do you all think of the design?

You know, I try to find something positive in almost everything that’s new or a new experience. But OMG the new rav4 is not growing on me. The previous generation looked decent - despite the cheap materials Toyota used in its highest trim to base trims.

Does anyone feel the same way? Why or why not?

Tired for cx50 hybrid, that gives good fuel economy and silence. What is that brand?

Sometime next year, I will need new tires for my Cx50 hybrid.

I feel like no matter what i research- there’s no perfect solution.

I want a brand that has a good reliable, quality that silence noise from the road, doesn’t lower my mpg - I didn’t get a hybrid to lose mpg lol, and has good traction for long term.

What brand really provides that? I don’t want to buy a new set of tires so soon.

I feel like they are all the same.

What are you recommendation based on:

- tires that last long
- great on gas
- great on road noise

Did you buy this for your cx50 hybrid?

I am considering Michellin Crossclimate but feel like it’ll gip me on gas, Michellin defender, Pirelli Ac sport.

Cx50 prediction, anyone?

I have 2025 Cx50 hybrid pp+, I am loving it.

I had one issue where the break was sticking to e break. I was rejected by my local Mazda dealership who said they won’t replace anything because my VIN doesn’t qualify for replacement. I bought it to another dealership who replaced it without any problems.

Since then, my suv has been driving great.

So far it’s been oil changes and tire rotations.

I have a feeling it will be like that for years to come based on how it drives, the fit and finishes in the car etc.

What do you all think about the long term expectations?

I mean it is partnered with Toyota and Mazda generally been good.

Service lights hasn’t come on but I keep track of miles. Anyone else notice this on their cx50 hybrid ?

I know this sounds crazy, but, my service light never went off for my first oil change, second oil change on my cx50 hybrid.

I told the dealership that I changed it at about this and they said maybe someone forgot to reset it. Two times really? Thank goodness for the stickers they place on the window and that I’m keeping up with it either way.

I kid you not the light for service doesn’t go on at the mile mark my dealership claims it will need work at. I calculated the miles to ensure true service is needed. No light. Dealership says they ensured the next service the light will go off. I doubt it because if the first two didn’t go off - what makes me think this third oil change will?

Anyone else have experience?

I have an oil change coming up in about 1000 miles (currently at 16,736. Projected oil change 17,736k) I’m watching the mileage- let’s see.

Excessive Sweat for no reason - I don’t know why.

I sweat excessive for no reason and I don’t know why.

Standing in a crowd in some instances, I’m totally fine, no sweat. Other instances (even though there’s no threat or anxiety present ) I’m sweating bullets left and right. Enough to feel a sweat drop down my back.

Another example, working on washing my car, it’s hot - a regular individual may break a sweat but were as me within 2-3 minutes I’m drenched in sweat as if I ran a marathon.

Sitting in my room getting ready for bed, sweating like no other. Grant it I came out of hot shower but still.

I could go on and on.

I feel like there something off with my body, hormones for it to do that. When I was a kid - I never sweat this much.

I Active Sense briefly appeared, I don’t know why. Do you?

I was driving home from the gym this evening when a brief messaged appeared for a second “I active sensing is disabled…” I don’t remember the rest of the message. Does anyone know why that is? The SUVs been running great. Not sure if this is something resetting or my suv radar might be dirty. It doesn’t look like it. I wonder if a speck of dust could make that happen? lol

I own a 2025 Cx50 hybrid pp +

2026 CRV - as a guy what’ll you think

You know I have never been a Honda CRV fan. It looks pretty average and never caught my eye. Our family had a 2003 CRV which was OK. We also have a 2019 model that looked pretty decent. I do have to say this one actually looked much better than the other the generations. However, as a guy, I would never consider getting a CRV in general for myself. Despite the 2019 model looking pretty decent and as ugly. Now I see the 2026 model on the road and the color aesthetic is impressive. It makes me think that this be a potential car down the road. I am a huge car fanatic that looks at everything. If something doesn’t impress me in design language from exterior, interior, quality and reliability- it’s not on my list of things to consider.

The only part that holds me back is that I still have this notion that it is a soccer mom car that is just current. Any dude out there thinking the same on this? What drives me towards this is the boxy look, and the somewhat aggressive front end design.

Fuel cleaner for the first time in my hybrid - dun dun dun

Alright, so I am a first time Mazda owner, first time hybrid owner as well. When I got my suv I was expecting something more impressive in mileage and fill up frequency.

I got over that once i understood the hybrid dynamic.

I am getting on average 430 a tank, 41mpg during the summer.

I went down the rabbit hole to see if getting a fuel cleaner may help. Apparently the brand red line is highly recommended.

I’m hoping my mileage will bump up. Yall think I can get 460 or 500 next time?

Has anyone experimented with this? What was your experience?

Cx50 hybrid owners thoughts on long term

I have owned my Cx50 hybrid PP for just about a year now with an initial mile of 13 off the lot and now shy of 16k in couple of weeks or so.

It got me thinking about my experience and what the future may hold.

In the one year I’ve owned it, the only thing needed replacing or work on was the rear break sticking to the e break. Thankfully Mazda was not a stickler / cheap on NOT fixing it. Or maybe I got lucky. Another thing I noticed is when it’s summer the plastics on the dashboard make a sound due to the expansion. At least that’s my take because my previous Honda did the same.

My conclusion and hope is this is good as it gets. My opinion I think this suv will last me years and years with very minimal maintenance. At least I hope it does because it’s partnered with Toyota and Mazda is reliable now on its own.

Cx50 owners, how do you think the cx50 will hold up in long term? Yes, I know it hasn’t been around long

HOA fee - damn

As much as I love my own place, I can’t believe my HOA went from $352 to $402. What’s your HOA like? Also does anyone see the benefits from HOA? I just moved in - so I don’t know yet. I know my gas and water is covered. Electricity is on my own.
