Campalyzer Showdown: Best vs worst month to go camping
If you had to pick ONE, what is your favorite month to go camping, and why? Conversely, what month do you typically avoid?

Just launched: a new Campalyzer feature called Camp Scout.
The idea is simple: while you’re already at a campground, Scout a few individual campsites by adding a photo and completing a short, standardized set of campsite ratings.
Those Scout entries do two things:
And now there’s a reward for helping fill in the gaps:
Scout rewards can stack across future missions, so if you camp regularly, you can potentially keep Pro access going for quite a while.
You can start a Scout mission from an eligible Upcoming Trip in Campalyzer, or go here for more information:

The goal is to gradually build better information at the individual campsite level — not just “this campground is a 4.5,” but which sites have better shade, privacy, hookups, leveling, connectivity, and other useful site-specific details.
As always, feedback is welcome. Camp Scout is new, so if something feels confusing, clunky, or like it could work better, let me know.
Cheers, and happy camping!
Where is your next RV trip? One of your usual spots or are you trying somewhere new? Anything you are particularly excited about?
I use the battery disconnect switch to turn off the battery if it is sitting in storage. I have confirmed that the solar panel will still charge/maintain the battery, but I don't want the draw/charge cycles caused by the parasitic load. The biggest downside to this approach is remembering what wonky combination of buttons I press on the radio to set the clock once the power is back on. It's something like a long press of this one, a few short presses of that one, and then cycle through the minutes and hope you don't go to far, which I inevitably do.
So the "greatest" "hack": Before a trip, I set a reminder for 12:00am to go turn the battery switch back to ON. Poof! Clock is instantly set and accurate!
So keep your leveling hacks, your back up tips, your suggestions on how to dump/rinse tanks efficiently.... this one, this tip right here, is the real time saver.

What would cause you to break camp early? Weather? bugs? Loud neighbors? Is there a time that you have packed up to head home before the trip is technically over? What happened?
Here is what I would do to improve ReserveCalifornia:
Captcha's and bot preventing mechanisms. Aggressively prevent these.
Waiting lists for sites that are already booked. Dibbs goes to those on the wait before the site is released to the 3rd party apps for rebooking.
Dial up the penalties for no shows. The recent changes are OK, but not enough to be a deterrent.
expand the rollout of the lotto system for the sites that continually book by 8:01am.
The red/green circles for the available/booked sites are not colorblind friendly.
lose the section grouping filter or add an option to 'view all'. Clicking a drop down for the north, middle, south sections (as an example) seems unnecessary.
That's what I would do if I was in charge. What are your suggestions?
What's one camping moment you're pretty sure you'll still be talking about ten years from now?
Big or small. Good or bad.
What happened? Why do you think it'll stick with you?
