Does this mean it’s free for the first hour, or are “other fees” on top of the $0.56/kWh?
Edit: It wasn’t free for the first hour. I paid about $40.

Hello! I am a parent to a 3 year old who just got new teachers in her preschool classroom this week. They are not new to the center, but they are new to her classroom and the kids.
My child had a great first day with the new teachers, but a rough second day. At pickup, the teachers seemed very frustrated and told me that my child was hitting others and even hit one of the teachers. (They didn’t give much context as to any triggers or what the situation was, so I don’t know specifics.)
I tried to refocus the conversation toward what kind of strategies we’ve taught our child for calming down instead of hitting/yelling/etc, as well as what worked for the previous teachers. One that my child is very comfortable with is asking, “I feel like hitting. Can I take a break to calm down/squeeze a ball/take deep breaths?” It works well at home and (as far as I’m aware) at preschool.
The new teachers flat out told me that she can’t ask for that because policy is that they aren’t allowed to “isolate or exclude” a child, which makes sense in theory, although I’m a little frustrated that they’re including when the child requests it.
Can you all help me come up with some calm-down strategies that my child’s new teachers will be more agreeable toward and wouldn’t be considered as separating them from their peers? I’m happy to teach, practice, and roleplay anything. Unfortunately they didn’t have any suggestions for me and just want the behavior to stop.
We have a longtime employee who transferred from another office that was much smaller and used a different time management system. In our building we use a timeclock system where you can clock in and out on your phone (using geolocation, so you have to give the app permission to see your location while using it), or we have a kiosk by the break room you can use.
This employee is unhappy because the rest of his department all clock out via their phones as they walk out of the lobby, but because he doesn’t want to give the app his location, he has to use the kiosk and thus spends several minutes “unpaid” as he travels through the office and out the main lobby.
How do we handle this? He’s not letting it go, and we don’t provide company phones, so technically we can’t say he has to use the app. Moving the kiosk to the lobby is not an option because it’s open to the public.
She’s been potty trained for over a month, was using the potty consistently, and to my knowledge has not had a traumatic potty experience.
All of a sudden she will say she needs to pee or poop, but will NOT go to the potty by herself. She screams, tries to bite, fights, flails, and it’s a huge nightmare every time.
She is currently screaming in my partner’s face at full volume with tears pouring down her cheeks, all because we want her to sit on the potty instead of pooping on the floor again. She’s literally saying “I need to poop” but will NOT do it.
I’m losing my mind. Please help.
