Good old times

Good old times

This used to be a luxurious hotel with spectacular seaviews, which turned into budget accommodation, before it eventually closed a few years back. The pictures show some of its former glory, lots of rooms don't look quite so great anymore. The seaviews are still there. I hope someone with a sense of history and half a million in cash picks it up.

How to complete my noise case?

I have this habit of building a USB powered rig in a case, with components that were about to be discarded. This one is actually really great and I might keep it for a while. It's the Lil' Mono Synth as main sound source, the Amdek percussion synth, and a little fun toy that pretends to be a monk choir, plus cheap reverb, mixer, and the SQ1 as the brain. Plus horrible cable mess obviously. It makes rather monotonic but nonetheless interesting bass-heavy noise and ambient.

There is still a bit of space left and I have a 9V and a USB slot left. What is small enough, cheap, and adds something weird to this weird box? The default is just another effect pedal. But maybe there is something better. What should I add?

Question for long-term Lemondrop users

I'm interested in granular synthesis, and the Lemondrop is 'ticking a lot of the boxes'. But user interface matters to me, and I'm not entirely sure I will vibe with the tiny interface and the touch screen. I guess the way to find out is to buy and then sell if it doesn't work, but before I do that: Are there Lemondrop users here who can give me an informed opinion after using it for a bit? Do you connect with the UI (especially if you had concerns initially)? Basically, how are the Lemondrop vibes after a while? And slightly related, are there alternatives that offer a different user interface for similar purposes?

Who wants a dog-friendly AI generated hotel

This is a bit of land at the shore with planning permission, and to make it more convincing, they added the hotel. The AI tool took the liberty to also add a weirdly looking dog, first outside (pic 3), then inside (pic 4), and then it sort of turns into a white statue (pic 6). Good clean fun with artificial dogs.

Edit: Now that I look at it again, it's not a hotel, it's just right NEXT to a hotel.

A brandnew property, interesting for many reason. What caught my eye is that the planning application for the building from 2021 explicitly rules out using the house as dwellinghouse or residence, a slight issue that is neatly glossed over in the description. There is also an old boathouse right next to it, which they have AI-ified in the pictures to make it look more appealing - but it doesn't belong to the property. The main house itself does exist, as far as I can tell from Google Streetview.
