And then they say that we're obsessed with Islam

A bunch of nothing burgers in general. Somewhat performative, too. No honey, you weren't crying. You just had an urge of sanctimoniousness and needed to make a post to appease your fragile and triggered ego.

"may allah give them the consequences of it on the day of judgement and in this world as well."

What a peaceful religion.

It's like they just cannot accept that anyone would want to leave Islam without being a hateful maniac. Or that anyone would criticize it rationally without being a hurt, traumatized victim of 'abusive culture'.

It was not evening actually. It was daytime, clear as the day.

They were like pictures from the storybooks my mom used to read to me. I saw them together everywhere. The iftaars, the long drives, the long walks, the campings - just a step behind them. The co-traveller to their Murree trip and the quite listener to their deep talks. Except they didn't know. Not that it matters.

And then it all crashing down that fine day. The sun shone bright and hot, directly hitting the wallet he pulled out from his shalwar pocket (actually, it was kameez pocket but their urdu is a bit cooked) like a star under the spotlight performing on the stage.

I was a witness to the end of the relationship that had fostered and built up since Ramadan. It was dreadful. It felt empty.

Horror filled the girl's face. She screamed at him, "Dawg, in the big 2026? Seriously?"

The twenty-eight year old man became flustered and stammered.

The girl stomped her feet and walked away. Just like that. No fuss, no argument. Just that one statement that pushed over the domino of their memories, an inevitable heartbreak of the lovely couple I had been stalking observing since that clear Febrauary afternoon.

It was my heartbreak too as I was left standing there, watching the receding backs of people who were like the characters in my stories. The light of my life disappeared, just like that.

It was the cruel yet much-needed realization that reality and fiction could never harmonize.

Helloo. I'm 15f and a huge reader. I read about pretty much any genre. Looking for a friend who's also into reading and could be a buddy read if you know what I mean. But anyway, even if you want to talk about anime, manga or other personal interests, I'm pretty open. Preferrably anyone between 14-17.

You may dm me or comment below.
