Christianity/Pagan Tattoos
I’m Pentecostal and the guy I’m seeing is Methodist. I don’t mind us being in separate denominations. What bothers me is his tattoos. He has the eye of Anubis, the eye of Horus, and voodoo dolls.
He has the two Egyptian eyes because his dream is to one day visit Egypt. And he has the voodoo dolls because he lived in Louisiana for up to 10 years.
I was willing to look past one tattoo, but three is too many. He doesn’t regret them, doesn’t see the wrong doing of them, and refuses to get them removed.
We both agreed if it wasn’t for those tattoos we could’ve actually been serious. He crossed off a lot of things on my list. I just can’t ignore the fact he grew up in a church, and still thought it was ok to get those.
My mind is in limbo. I know it’s not right to judge him off of the tattoos. But spiritually I can’t ignore them, especially if he doesn’t see the wrong doing of it.
I guess I’m just wondering if others have been in this situation??
