I find it interesting how the “respecting Elena’s choice” is romanticized or used as a reason that Elena should be with Stefan when Elena herself doesn’t believe in it. Elena had Damon compel Jeremy twice all in the name of protecting him. Bonnie even called her out on it a second time and her defense was he could’ve gotten killed and it was to protect him. Her and Damon are the same in that aspect, which is an aspect of stelena that’s always celebrated, but Elena doesn’t respect it herself. Elena took away her little brother’s choice on two separate occasions in the name of love which is what Damon would’ve done to Elena if he was on the bridge and not Stefan. If you’re gonna call Damon controlling for taking away Elena’s choice by trying to keep her alive then you can say the same for Elena. You can argue that Damon may do things more drastically but the principle is the same. They would both take away a loved one’s choice if it means protecting them and keeping them alive.

Was Elena suppose to let Jessie kill her boyfriend because Jessie was next in line to be crushed on by Caroline. This has nothing to with Elena’s character and her saying the Elena that she use to know wouldn’t have done that and that the old Elena would’ve gave Jessie a chance. Like what does that even mean in this situation?? This is the same Caroline who helped Stefan and Jeremy orchestrate a whole plan to kill her boyfriend Tyler’s friend to save Elena from the hunters curse in season 4. That is actually so much worst cause that had nothing to do with self defense. She helped sacrifice her boyfriend’s friend to save another friend. Like how is Caroline judging Elena for saving her boyfriend’s life? If it was Stefan that killed Jessie to save Damon’s life I bet she wouldn’t have blamed him cause Stefan can’t really do any wrong in Caroline’s eyes.

Then later on Caroline turns this into Elena’s dating choices when Elena explains that Jessie was dangerous and then Caroline asked when is she going to realize that the outside world is not nearly as dangerous as the person she’s inviting into her own bedroom. Like girl…Klaus is right there😭😭

This photo shoot is so Serena Van der Woodsen coded, I love it, the show did not tap into her full potential. They should’ve had her be one of the biggest models in the world. She had the look, her own unique look, she’s gorgeous and should’ve been one of the biggest models in the world canonically. I don’t know why they had her be an assistant in season 5, like after she chose not to go to college she should’ve been figuring herself out and then became a model. It would’ve been cool seeing Serena navigate the industry.

You can feel how you feel about delena or Elena choosing Damon after everything, but one thing about Damon and Elena is that they were never just talk. They were serious about each other. Damon was always ready to do just about anything for her and vice versa. Elena loved Damon through his good moments and his bad, she saw him at his worst and still chose him. Damon was the same way, when Elena became a vampire he didn’t have to “adjust” he loved her the entire time he was fine with her either way.

But for real tho, they were the best enemies to lovers trope, I’ve haven’t seen a show that’s done it like this. The best tension, the push and pull dynamic, the intensity, the love confessions, her falling in love with him more than once, him always choosing her no matter what, and the best build up. There isn’t a ship on this show that had this kind of buildup, it really had me locked in when I first watched it.

Shes just so gorgeous I can’t. She just has the best style to me in the entire show, like even just the way she styles her uniforms or her more casual outfits look so good. I really do like how everyone has their own style in the show. Like their style really shows their personality and the kind of person they are. Her fashion is a huge reason why she’s my favorite character out of the entire show. She really is the IT girl and her more outgoing and carefree personality is just the perfect combination with these outfits. She knows exactly who she is and she’s confident in herself.
