Rating all the complexion products I've tried!

  1. Kay Beauty HD Concealer
    - Made my eyes and nose burnnnn
    - Had the worst stinging sensation
    - Unusable : (

  2. Fenty Beauty Luminous foundation
    - Got samples because I’m not spending 4.5k without testing it lol
    - Color match 10/10
    - Coverage 7/10
    - Stay 5/10
    - Finish: Dewy but skin-like

  3. Fenty Beauty Soft Matte Foundation
    - Got the full size because they didn’t have samples of this and I thought this would be the one (boy was I wrong)
    - Not really matte tbh, felt the finish was still dewy? Also didn't look very skin-like & natural
    - Color match 8/10
    - Coverage 7/10
    - Stay 5/10
    - Avg formula not worth the price imo

  4. MAC Studio Fix SPF Foundation
    - Got a sample of this!
    - Store guy gave me the wrong shade so this looked so ashy on me
    - Coverage 5/10
    - Stay 7/10
    - Color match 0/10
    - Finish: Matte
    - I actually liked the formula ngl

  5. Haus Labs Triclone Foundation
    - Samples because I've nice friends in the US hehe
    - Color match not Fenty level but still good! (I feel like their undertones were kinda off)
    - Does not set in India’s humid weather | Transferred | Melted off my face

PSA - Do not try to hot wax yourself at home!!!

Okay so I did not hot wax myself intentionally. I was trying to make a cold sugar wax because sugar wax is supposed to be the best. But my first attempt at creating sugar wax failed. So I thought okay I'll use it as a hot wax and initially, it was working well! Long story short, I ended up with multiple burn marks that seem to be getting worse with time and ones my derm says might def leave a mark. It's so ugly you guys and it's on my hands :((((

so just don't hot wax yourself EVER.

Base for a no-makeup makeup look

Hi!

How do I make my base complexion makeup look super natural and skin-like. Any tips or brand recs please?

Context:
I have some minor scaring and pigmentation on my face that skin care isn’t able to fix. I also have dark circles caused by genetics & facial structure, that my lifestyle exasperates.

I’m hence looking for something to spot correct or even cover my whole face to make it evened out. Essentially aiming for a very clean, no-makeup makeup look.
