I'm a guy asking for advice on behalf of a friend because I think women who have dealt with similar situations would have the most relevant perspective.
We had a Goa trip planned with six people: me and three other male friends, and two female friends. One of the women had to cancel, so now the group is four men and one woman. One of the men is her boyfriend, but her parents don't know they're dating.
To make things a bit more complicated, her boyfriend currently lives in Canada and is visiting India specifically for this trip. They live in the same society, and her parents already suspect they might be in a relationship. She's worried that once they know he's back in India, they'll become even more restrictive about her going out, regardless of who she's with.
They were okay with the trip when there were two women going, but now they've told her she can't go because she'd be the only woman in the group.
We're not looking for ways to deceive her parents or pressure her into going. We also understand where her parents are coming from, even if it's disappointing. At the same time, finding another woman who can join the trip is proving to be difficult.
For those of you who have been in similar situations, how would you handle it?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your own experiences rather than just opinions, since we're trying to figure out the most sensible way to handle this.
TL;DR: Our Goa trip was originally planned with 4 men and 2 women. One woman cancelled, so now one woman would be the only female in the group. Her parents, who don't know she's dating one of the guys, are no longer comfortable with her going. Women who've been in a similar situation: how would you handle this, and what would you recommend?

I'm working on a custom filament feeding system for a fleet of Klipper-based printers and wanted to see if anyone has built something similar.
Current setup:
What I'm considering:
Spool
↓
Bidirectional feeder (BMG + motor)
↓
PTFE
↓
Bambu-style spring buffer
(magnet + hall sensor)
↓
PTFE
↓
Toolhead extruder
Goals:
The idea is that the feeder motor would push/pull filament, while the spring-loaded buffer provides feedback (similar to the Bambu AMS buffer) using a hall sensor.
Questions:
Would love to see photos, CAD files, GitHub repos, or build logs if anyone has attempted something similar.
Note: This is for a single-spool printer, not a multi-material AMS system.
ps- I have used chatgpt for proper formatting.
