Fundraising for a cause

Hi everyone! My name is Jaggi (f, 10 years old, siamese), my mom adopted me and we’ve been together for four years now. My mom already asked assistance from my former shelter Noah's Ark Dog and Cat Shelter and took me to vet for more pain relief for my teeth. I have tooth decay and inflamed gums. I also have feline herpesvirus which I got before adoption which makes my dental treatment a little bit complicated.

The pain relief medicines are not working, and I can’t even eat the specially made soup and chicken by my mom that I used to love.

My mom and I are trying to raise 8,000 pesos for my dental expenses that includes dental prophylaxis, anesthesia, and cbc/blood chem. We are yet to know if I need a tooth extraction. I only have 5,000 cash onhand and need 3,000 more. Please help us.

Any amount or spare change would greatly help us overcome my pain.

Got a call today and said I can start on monday

Hello! So I applied for HR compenben as a fresh graduate and I got a call today saying I can start on monday.

I said that if its ok to give my decision before 5 pm today. And I ask if it is okay to read the job offer first.

I am desperate for a job but I don’t want to dive into the work and being blindsided. Given that I don’t know the total compensation package and the contents of the contract as it was not mentioned during the final interview.

For the context the work location is 30 km away from me and it takes 1 hr and 30 mins motorcycle ride going there because of the traffic.

Feeling ko po kasi para akong nacorner and wala akong ka idea idea kung magiging sustainable siya for me. I need opinions because I feel like Im passing a good opportunity.

Hirap maging fresh graduate

I’m a fresh grad navigating my way to hr field pero ang hirap. Lahat may experience ang hanap and sometimes during onsite interview imimix ka sa mga may exp tas biglang pauuwiin ako.

Been applying since november and ang nagiging disqualifier ko ay no experience or not enough. Tried admin roles and even barista but still no luck.

Na para bang wala kaming karapatan as a fresh grad to enter a field/career. Its just so depressing :(

I feel hopeless with the current norm of recruitment

long post ahead and I need ur opinion.

I am a fresh graduate wanting to start a career in HR. I just want to vent my frustrations, perspective, and feedback about hiring practices nowadays.

Aside from ghosting, today I experienced the most inefficient hiring process ever. Yesterday I got a message saying I was invited to take exam and interview. However, today is my grandpa’s burial and I asked if they can consider a reschedule but I got no reply. Since opportunity is so hard to come by, I ditched the burial and try to take the exam and interview.

The facilitator started the exam and she didn’t give the full details or expectation of the process. Talagang pinakilala niya lang sarili niya (I felt the superiority and heavy aura coming from her and maybe because she doesn’t give off a welcoming vibes or shows that she doesn’t care about applicants) and just read the instruction. First we had numerical reasoning for 20 mins. After that she took the papers and checked them and we waited for 15-20 mins before she gave the personality test. Again we waited for another 20 mins or so. 2 tests took 2 whole hours and we were just waiting for the next test. The last part was essay.

In short hindi tuloy tuloy yung bigay ng papers and we have to wait, tumunganga, and waste a lot of time! It was only 3 test yet it took 8:00 - 11:00!

They didn’t set expectations so all 22 applicants were already losing their patience. Some took a nap, some played a mobile game, and some were taking calls and texting.

All three facilitators left and then one started calling an applicant. It is already 11:30 and they didn’t bother to inform if pwede mag lunch break or tuloy tuloy.

I got called up and paglabas sabi sakin baka next week nalang interview since wala yung manager na mag iinterview sakin. So I was like okay. But based from the attendance 3 kami na nag apply for hr compenben. I waited outside if lalabas rin sila but no.

Then naabutan ko yung isang applicant na nauna sakin lumabas and kinda asked him kung nainterview ba siya and sabi niya wala rin yung mag iinterview daw sakanya naka meeting.

SAME FUCKING SCRIPT! It’s two things. 1st is uncoordinated sila and 2nd they are lying and can’t say na we are rejected already!!!!

Im not mad being rejected but fucking please don’t lead on applicants with false hopes. Another similar thing happened to me when I got called by hr of another company, before ending the call sabi for pooling purposes daw and when I saw the status on indeed gosh nakalagay “not selected by employer”

PUTANGINA AWA NALANG, HIRAP NA MAGHANAP NG TRABAHO NGAYON NAKAKAPUNYETA PA YANG HIRING PRACTICE NAYAN! AND STOP WASTING TIME TAPOS PAG SAINYO GINAGAWA GALIT KAYO!

People centered dapat ang hr pero puta halos ng mga nakaupo walang empathy at walang pakiramdam. Nakakabitter.
