I gotta recommend Stillpoint

Every so often you stumble on one that isn’t getting the attention it deserves, Stillpoint is one.

The premise seems superficially like every progression via broken skill story you’ve ever heard of. Guy gets a skill that lets him stop time so he can have more time to train than anyone else, uses it to get stronger absurdly fast by everyone else’s perception.

But it’s not like any other litrpg or progression fantasy you’ve ever read, mostly because of the characters and how it is written. One review calls it “Cormac McCarthy meets LitRPG” and that is simply correct. It’s bleak, it’s understated, the people all struggle to articulate themselves but nevertheless make themselves understood to one another, it’s really beautiful.

You guys should check it out.

It's the basic work those committed to a liberal society need to encourage and enable.
