Hand numbness

Training hard for an upcoming 100 miler and dealing with alot of hand numbness. Starts as soon as mile 15, which concerns me. Even happens when training with my MTB on the road. Anyone had the same and was able to make changes to fix it? It’s mainly in my pinky and ring finger on both hands. Change hand position regularly. Have chunky ESI grips. I can raise my stack height on the bars, but I feel cramped and don’t feel like I’m over the front enough on the trails. Anyone gotten numb from the bars being too close? Race is in about 3 months, so I’m anxious to start testing changes.

One piece bar/stem

Anyone running a one piece bar stem or decked aftermarket stem on your ASR? I’m on a size large and have the stock stem decked and still don’t feel I have enough cockpit space. 5’11” with 33 inch inseam. Curious if anyone has changed the stock setup and how you’ve liked it

Brakes

My 2025 yeti ASR came with motive bronze. Had the bike since Feb and have maybe 400 miles in it. The pistons in these brakes are already sticking regularly. Ready to replace with XTR.

What’s everyone running on their XC build? Two or four piston? I’ve seen a few running the XTR enduro lever with the two piston caliper.

Training tools

Racers, what training resources are you using? Programs like training peaks, trainer road or others? Nutrition planning? Web resources?

I’ve been doing structured training for the last 10 months with trainer road and getting mixed results. Focus is on marathon XC with first race coming up in November. The oak ass 100

Road riding

I recently bought a seigla with the true grit fork and am loving it. Curious if anyone has bought a secondary wheelset for road riding? How has the fork performed on long road rides? It seems pretty soft when hammering.

Ezee fiber buffering

We just switched from Comcast to Ezee fiber and our device now are intermittently buffering, an issue that rarely happened with Comcast. The speeds seem faster but it isn’t much good if the devices are constantly dropping the signal. Anyone else experience this issue?

Heart rate up

I’ve notice over the last 3 weeks of training that my heart rate is going up early in training rides and staying up. It’s definitely zapping my energy and I’m failing workouts. Also dead leg feeling, which could be related or not. I’m trying to figure if it’s training fatigue, the heat (I’m in the South and have to train in the garage with fans) or maybe a health issue. Anyone else experience this due to one of these conditions? I’m doing two intensity workouts a week and then longer endurance rides on the weekend.

Gloveless feel

I’ve recently discovered the joy of riding gloveless. I sweat a lot, though. Anyone using minimalist gloves that feel like they aren’t there?

Lauf cracking issues

I posted recently asking for advice on a gravel bike and many people recommended the Lauf Seigla. Doing more research on this bike turned up a surprising number of reports of frames cracking in the exact same location across multiple models in the Lauf lineup. Sure, it sounds like their customer service is great, but that should be a safety net behind a reliable product. Anyone have any additional info on this issue?

Any other men had issues with the giant seam running down the crotch of these bibs chafing like crazy? No amount of chamois butter solves it. Big disappointment after hearing so much hype.

I checked Tad Hughes website and his scheduling has broken links, so I assume he has shut his doors. I’m also nervous starting with a fitter who is exiting the industry in a matter of months.

Who’s the next goat in Houston? I’m looking for a road bike and potentially a mountain bike fit.
