Window Tint.

The problem with dark window tint—especially on the windshield—is that pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers can’t see you. If someone needs to cross in front of your vehicle, they have no way of knowing where you’re looking or whether you’ve even seen them. The same applies to other motorists: people rely on eye contact and other visual cues to navigate safely.

I also think the anonymity provided by heavy tint can encourage some people to drive more aggressively and irresponsibly. I understand that people may feel dark tint is something they want or need, but driving is a shared activity. What other road users need to stay safe matters too.

Should I expose more of the roots or is this acceptable.

Can I leave this alone or would this tree benefit from more root flare being exposed. If the answer is yes, What is the best/easiest way to do this on my own.

13' x 16' ( 208 Sq Ft) Louvered Aluminum Pergola installation. 2018 IRC

I'm planning to install a louvered aluminum pergola 13x16 on a concrete patio. The structure would be 208 Sq Ft. My villages permit instructions specify the following.

SHEDS/GAZEBOS – ADDITIONAL SPECIFICS • Shed plans must include information about the method of anchorage for the structure. o Structures <= 99 Square Feet in area may be installed on the ground, secured with ground auger anchors per manufacturing specifications. o Structures 100 to 199 Square Feet in area shall be installed on a concrete slab or piers; o Structures 200 sq. ft. or more must comply with the 2018 IRC.

I'm trying to get some clarification from the village but they are slow to answer. I understand that 2018 IRC are building codes but how would they apply to to my installation? Will I be able to install a structure in excess of 200 Sq Ft onto my concrete patio? What would be the specific requirements under 2018 IRC?

Hydraulic Disc Brakes, Is this noise normal?

This is my first experience with hydraulic disc brakes. The wheel and brakes are new. The headset is new. Everything is tight with no play. If I apply the brake more forcefully the noise and play stops. Is this normal for hydraulic disc brakes?

Texting or using a handheld device while sitting in stopped traffic is illegal. Under distracted driving laws, you are actively operating a vehicle—even at a red light or in gridlock—and can be ticketed for handling a phone.

I see a lot of drivers texting when they are stopped at a light or in stop and go traffic. I actually had someone rear end me at low speed in stop and go traffic on the expressway. These drivers appear to think that since they are stopped it's OK to text. Problem is, even when stopped, they are not paying attention to what is happening around them.
