Anyone else feel like Vera was heavily underutilized in war and peace?

In the first book she has a fiery entrance. The oldest sister, clearly jealous of Natasha and Nikolai’s relationships with Boris and Sonya.

Then she marries Berg and pretty much disappears from the narrative entirely. Her marriage is important — it plays into Count Rostov’s financial troubles — but it feels as though there was a thread Tolstoy did not finish exploring.

Thoughts?

Yesterday I paid the $74.50 fee to upgrade from Basic Economy to the Economy upgrade, primarily because I wanted to bring a carry on with me.

When I got to the gate, they still flagged me as basic economy in their system and checked my carry on bag, claiming they would charge an additional fee since it was checked at the gate. I was never charged for that checked bag, but I’m still pissed about the carry on.

Is it worth disputing this with customer service?
