All the decor items were found at the antiques store. I ended up choosing the art with angel wings. Stools are Charleston wrought iron stools. Decorative vase is from the antique store. Table lamp is Hudson valley lighting group. Pictures included were taken at the antique store in Dallas Texas called cotton wood market
Everything is from the antique store locally.
I hope you enjoy my decor as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. 😘❤️
I decided to go with sconces. Ordered these plug-in ones from Hudson Valley lighting group. How did it turn out?
I found this ikea chair on Facebook listed as uppland for $100 came with ottoman. I got rid of the ottoman kept the chair. The slip cover was so dirty I figured I can go to ikea and buy a new cover turns out, it was not uppland but a discontinued hovas chair. I was angry for the first time I was scammed on Facebook. The next day after looking tirelessly for a cover online, I decided to reupholster the chair entirely. The foundation needed work and the legs also needed work. I called around and finally found a reupholster in my budget. He came to pick up the chair a month later after headaches on fabric delay the chair was delivered with no back cushion that I pick up today. What do you guys think I chose performance velvet in peacock blue color.
Interior designers I need help. Which pair of lamps look good for this room. Hudson valley black lamp in 30inch or John Richard’s in 37 inch?
I have bought all my rugs in my apartment from Facebook marketplace. All wool & hand knotted. For someone who has had success at shopping on Facebook marketplace, here is how you will go about it.
1: search the item you need
2: like and save each listing even if it’s outside your budget - this teaches the algorithm to know your preferences.
3: you can simplify the search by creating folders for your items
4: learn to negotiate with the seller
5: send straight concise messages not “is this still available” they never respond to that.
6: ask for close up photos especially when it comes to rugs in the vintage, antique category
6: turn your notifications on so when your save items reduce in price you will be notified
7: be proactive this is a game of an early bird catches the biggest worm.
Doom scrolling and landed on this beauty. I immediately messaged the seller and picked it up, turns out, it was brand new and still in its original packaging from Nordic knots
Zambian girl who grew up at a commercial farm with a tone of rose. I love flowers and have them all over the house but sometimes it can get expensive. Here is a long lasting affordable flower you can treat yourself to. $4.99 a pack!
Room divider from Facebook marketplace. Walnut wood bed from NFM. Rug from Facebook marketplace, night stands and all the lamps from Facebook marketplace.
You can tell my favorite is Hyde it’s the strongest of the two.
I started with a small thrift store art (that I loved). My interior designer sent me the landscape art, it was bigger (38x50), I loved it and bought it not thinking much. Once delivered and hanged, I gasped on how beautiful it looks. Now it ties the greens in the living room rug and the green in the bedroom. Simple upgrades can surely change a place.
