Am I missing out on any actually useful editing methods or AI tools for making cuts faster without hurting quality?

I wanted to ask this here because I’d genuinely like some honest opinions from people who have experience with editing or making content consistently.

I’m a small YouTuber who uploads gaming videos with facecam, usually around 8–10 minutes long, and I edit everything myself. I’d still consider myself somewhat of a beginner when it comes to editing, but overall I’m pretty happy with the way my videos turn out and I don’t currently feel like I need massive improvements in terms of editing style or quality.

What I’m mainly curious about is workflow efficiency.

Are there any genuinely good and efficient methods, techniques, workflows, tools, or editing shortcuts that help speed up the process of making cuts/editing gameplay videos while still maintaining high quality? I’m asking both about easier/faster ways to cut footage and about tools/features that actually do a good job without hurting the final result.

One thing I want to make very clear: I care a lot about quality. I do NOT want to use lazy “AI slop” methods, low-effort automation, or bad AI tools/apps that make videos feel cheap, overprocessed, generic, or poorly edited. If something saves time but noticeably hurts quality, authenticity, pacing, or overall feel, then I’m not interested in it.

Also, I’m not asking this because I’m lazy or because I’m trying to avoid editing work. I actually enjoy editing my videos. The reason I’m asking is because I sometimes worry that I might be missing industry-standard workflows or useful techniques that most creators already use, and I don’t want to fall behind simply because of lack of information.

At the same time, if most serious creators still mainly edit manually and there really aren’t many “smart shortcuts” that preserve quality, then honestly I’m completely fine continuing the way I already do things.

I mainly just want to understand how other people realistically approach editing and whether there are efficient methods that are actually respected and worth using without sacrificing quality. Thanks in advance for any advice or personal experiences.

[BO2] I've played Black Ops 2 on PC and it WORKS GREAT!

I know, like many of you, I always dreamed of posting video games on YouTube, especially in the Black Ops 2 era. Even though it's 14 years later, I decided to start doing it, and I have played with almost all the guns in Black Ops 2 and made a video with them. They of course get 0 views but i try and I liked doing them and playing the game itself was really fun.

One thing that surprises me the most is how well the game works on PC. Not all old CODs are buttery smooth let me tell you but Black Ops 2 work amazing. No stuttering no glitches nothing. I really love it being this way. They made an amazing game. If anyone wants to see them let me know.
