Currently watching Return of the Jedi, and thinking about how the Ewoks became the MVP of the battle, basically being the Achilles' heel in the Empire's trap. Then, without the Shields going down, the fleet is done for, so far so good for old Palpatine, right???

Except no Ewoks were involved in what was happening in the throne room. Meaning Emperor Palpatine would still die by being thrown into the reactor shaft, and Vader dies from being electrocuted, meaning that although the Empire would have destroyed the Rebel Fleet, it is decapitated.

Would that be interesting, or not?

Twenty. Seven. Years. It has been only Twenty-Seven years since the fall of Rocashan. I try to move past the fact every day, but I can’t. How can I? We made a new Calendar around it! The entire Rocashan Empire, encompassing dozens of vassals, hundreds of worlds, and countless enslaved, fell to just a single species. It would have been impossible, especially since the Emperor himself declared they didn’t deserve the mercy of honorable combat.
And yet, after years of fighting, The Human Race, as they called themselves, pulled it off. Fighting as if they already had fought the Rocashan for hundreds of generations. Even sparked Revolutions across countless worlds, both slave revolts of new, and resurgent governments in exile of the old vassals. Such a conflict can not be summarized in such a way as to identify the scale of the conflict. Yet, years later, even as the Federal Republic of Terra takes its place in the post-war era as the dominant superpower, songs are written about their underdog nature, and how they saved countless for generations to come. It would become the defining feature of The Great War.
I guess we should start at the beginning of the war, the conversation that started it. An argument about a place in the cosmos that would ironically, lead to their downfall. 

Core Throne Room, Imperial Stronghold, Rocasha, Stardate 17/43/3014
Terim the Tenth, God-Emperor of the Rocashan people, had just enough of his son Abarinth. 
“Father, Let me wield some troops so we can claim more systems for our Glory! There are thousands of unchecked worlds, with primitives for our entertainment, an-”
“WE ARE COMPLACENT!! We just had a mass uprising, and are still recovering from the disruption. We can’t spare the resources.” Terim barked. Sharp teeth on full display.
“That was a pathetic fight to begin with,” Abarinth retorted, “And it ended before I was even born! That was Decades ago! Just a small exhibition, that is all.”
Terim sighed with a monotone voice. “Fine, you may have your fleet. In fact, you may take our new ships. Not as mighty as our Battleships or Carriers, but still able to put up a fight. However, DO NOT make me regret this.”
“I will not fail you, Father,” Abarinth said, taking a bow. He turned around, and marched out of the Throne Room, ready to glorify the Empire.
Thinking about it, if the son had just accepted the complacency his father had, the Empire would have survived a few more generations. Then again, taking a glimpse of the map of both nations, it seems shorter than I thought.

Orion Nebula, Stardate 19/04/3014
“Admiral, we got a signal.” One of the officers announced. The fleet had been traveling for weeks on end, without any detection of anything worthy of a fight. The crew was tired, and the prince was annoyed.
“A signal? You mean a species has the technology to reach beyond its planet?” Admiral Arith Bara inquired as if waiting for a backtrack. “Where? No planets can thrive in a Nebula. It makes no sense.”
The comms officer expanded her statement. “I am just as surprised as you. I also thought that Nebula had no life in them. Yet there is an interstellar radio signature, originating from there. Our scientists can benefit from new weapons and technology developed in secret, away from rebel forces. If there are new species there, we can train with new tactics. It is worth a shot.”
The Admiral looked at the prince. Abarinth, who was disgusted by the lack of progress, is intrigued. He spoke up “Go to that system.”
That decision would be the start of the war, but not yet the point of no return. That would come a little bit after, with the destruction of an entire colony, the fall of the flagship, and the death of Abarinth himself.
The fleet descended on the world, scanning the area for settlements. The colors of the nebula glowed vibrantly with blue and green. The planet itself was mostly uninteresting. A simple ocean/continental world blended equally across the surface, with mountains and coastline, all perfect. However, on the dark side of the planet, there was a string of lights that indicated cities. The Rocashan landed their ships and the battle thralls exited. The first battle had begun.
The forces marched through the colony, initially without much resistance, but the people were able to put up a fight. The people were eventually defeated, and the settlement was abandoned, as the prince ordered the remaining survivors to be chained up.

Rocashan Flagship, The Holy Emperor, 19/34/3014
Abarinth was angered at the losses taken. He studied battles of previous primitive civilizations and the pre-established space-faring nations, none of them had taken this many losses before. Nearly one million ground forces were lost, and the remaining prisoners would be taken back for processing. He informed The Emperor about the development, and intrigued, he allowed continued expeditions.
“I do hope it was just a fluke,” he noted, “If we encountered more of them, we may have more things to worry about.”
“Understood,” Abarinth confirmed. However, he wasn’t reassured. Tenith’s hologram looked at Admiral Bara.
“What do we know of this new race? If they put up that good of a fight, then they must be a perfect race.”
Bara stood at attention. “They call themselves Humans, and they are certainly an anomaly. I had some transports organized to return for our biologists to understand their nature,” he said, almost ashamed of what he was saying, “They had basic strength, preferred oceanic weather, average intelligence, having a range of sizes and ages. They do have a strong resemblance to the Quenti, which was the first thing we noticed and almost believed them to be a long lost colony of theirs.”
Tenith looked surprised. “What sets them apart?” he asked.
“What set them apart is why we suffered so many casualties. When we marched in, we targeted their young, with the standard of all other species we ever met. The population, however, didn’t like that, having a sort of tribal instinct that bordered on a sort of Hive Mind!” The Admiral looked as if he was up in arms on the issue.
“Hmm, this is most interesting. And it was said they had interstellar flight?” Tenith asked, which Bara confirmed, “Then this species is much older than we thought. Tread carefully, and avoid harm to the young as much as possible.”
“Very well Father,” Abarinth said reluctantly, “Yes My Lord,” Bara bowed. The transmission ended, and the fleet parted ways, continuing their endeavor.

The Orion Campaign, 19/35/7014 - 1/14/3015
The fleet set out across the Nebula to find more of those mysterious Humans. No map was ever recovered, and it wouldn’t be until after the war, that such would exist. For the next eight weeks, about 20 fresh Human colony worlds were overrun, wiping out the adults, and sending the kids back. However, the first battle wasn’t a fluke. While the defenses were less fanatic about saving the young, they were more developed, taking between ten thousand to fifty thousand dead of the Thralls. Considering Abarinth started with five million to begin with, it was alarming.
They found some evidence of Pirate holdouts in the latter systems but didn’t think much of it. Not until Chronosia, did they find something of note. One where The Rocashan, to borrow a Human term, bit off more than they could chew. Still trying to figure out Human phrases.

Edge of Chronosia System, 1/15/3015
“We have a forge world!” The comms officer announced. Everyone on the bridge whispered in awe of the announcement and was quickly hushed when noticing Abarinths’ dismay. He was annoyed by the campaign by now.
Admiral Bara moved to the comms and looked at the data. Heavy machinery, factories, and industrial cities, it was a textbook Forge World. It was a weaker output than what was thought when the words were said—still, more conquest. 
“Prepare the ground forces. Tell them they have a fight on their hands.” Bara ordered. 
“Tell the forces, when the Humans surrender, and put in chains, wipe them all out,” Abarinth said, stunning the room to silence.
“What?” Bara asked, confused. 
“You heard me. Wipe them all out. I am sick of these things, killing 40% of our ground forces. They need to be destroyed.” Abarinth said, gritting his teeth together.
“If that is the case, why not bomb them from orbit? Our new Destroyers were designed for that.” Tenith spoke, surprising everyone as if he had teleported there.
Abarinth was going to speak when one of the gunners spoke up. “Sir we have incoming!” That shocked everyone. Bara looked out the viewport and saw what it was.
Pirates. At least, what could be described as. Mostly basic in military designs. The ships struck fast, as if they knew what to look for, targeting the transports quickly. Several more massive explosions lit up the surrounding area. Determined to be from the planet itself. After some maneuvering, the Battleships and Carriers wiped out the Pirates, while the Destroyers, with their new accurate guns, were able to neutralize the Human Forces.
But it was at a cost. The transports were all gone. Abarinth was furious, and growling at the inefficiencies of the Navy. Bara called up the other Captains and connected them, with Tenith joining in with the conference.
Tenith spoke up. “I mourn the loss of your comrades and have decided to call off the expedition. However, you may destroy the Forge World, at least it would stop the Humans from putting up a fight for a while.”

Divine Might, 1/15/3015
Captain Joramain passed the order to his subordinates. He didn’t question The Emperor’s word. The Fleet took position, with the Destroyers in the center, with the Carriers and Battleships surrounding it. Priming the orbital cannons above the population centers, ready to wipe out the Human World.
Suddenly, alarms began ringing throughout the ship. The officers looked confused and worried. Such a thing wasn’t supposed to be going off, not unless another ship was entering the space around it.
“We got an unidentified energy signature just beyond the forge world’s moon,” one of the bridge crew shouted. Joramain looked out the portside viewport towards the moon. What he saw horrified him.
Proper warships had jumped out of the system. And was approaching the planet fast. About twelve were sighted, three of them larger than the other nine. Smaller craft could be seen exiting the ships and on approach.
Joramain turned towards the others. “We should warm up the FTL drives now.” He said. The captains of the Battleships and Carriers agreed. One of the Destroyers said “We are just about to fire. We will begin momentarily.” Then some muffled speech was heard from their end, but everyone could figure out what it was from the response that followed: “FIRE!”
One by one, the ten destroyers fired their payload down onto the planet. The impact caused a massive explosion that wiped out the colony, and more than likely, caused a mass extinction for the rest of the world. The fleet was getting underway when something rocked each ship. The humans had reached them. Each Captain was giving orders, trying to pull out of the system. 
Only one destroyer pulled out fast enough to not get hit. The rest had their propulsion destroyed and were picked off by the Human main fleet. Half of the Carriers were knocked out, and several guns on the Battleships were taken out, including The Holy Emperor. Joramain watched in horror as Captain after Captain left the call.
Tenith spoke up, “It appears the Humans know more than what it seems. Taking the fight to them was a mistake. Admiral Bara, get back to Rocashan space. Admirals Mago and Honna will take up the defensive, and hold out if any Humans try to cross. You and your crew will be compensated fully. Abarinth, you will remain on the Rocasha until this incident blows over.”
Abarinth protested “Father, these Humans are a menace. They don’t care for anyone other than–”
The Captain of the Holy Emperor interrupted, saying to abandon ship. An explosion is briefly heard before consuming Abarinth, Bara, and the Captain, and then the transmission was cut. Tenith began calling their names, asking what happened. Before the other Captains could answer, a lieutenant exclaimed “By The Throne…” 
Joramain rushed over to where the lieutenant was, followed her gaze, and saw what she saw. The Holy Emperor, the pride of the Rocashan Navy, was down. Where supposedly, the ship’s magazine was, was instead replaced with an enormous fireball. The ones who watched her destruction, saw it being shattered into various pieces, expanding portside, since the explosion expanded out from the starboard. The bridge couldn’t be seen, not because it was on the fireball, but because it was incinerated. The back end of what remained of the bow began listing. No life signs were detected, nor were distress signals. 
The Humans have destroyed the Flag Ship. But most importantly: They killed Abarinth. Joramain was shocked at what he saw. “W-what is going on?” Tenith asked, with a fear that was never heard of before.
Joramain spoke up, “The Flagship is gone.” “Gone?” Tenith asked. “The magazine must have been hit. I don’t see the bridge…” He looked at the remaining Captains. All of them were shocked, stunned, and speechless. But of all the reactions to the news, none were more alarming than Tenith himself. 
He looked as though he was going to have a panic attack, or even in the beginning stages of one. His son, the heir to the throne, was dead, not even having said goodbye, or even a nice thing to say, as the last words said were arguments. Vice Admiral Terima addressed all. “My Lord, what do you command?” She asked, as if scared of the response.
Tenith looked at the officers still in the conference, then attempting to remain strong, he spoke “Jump now, the orders still stand. Make your way to the capital, we will debrief your expedition to the council.” He said. Everyone agreed and relayed the order to jump. Each conference member left the call as each ship jumped to FTL.
The first battle may be over, but the war had just begun.

Imperial Council, Rocasha, Stardate 3/27/3015
The Council was bickering about what the step forward is. The Crown Prince dead, at the hands of a new species, along with the new destroyers, several carriers, and battleships. The Emperor was somewhere between a panic attack and bloodthirsty rage. Vice Admiral Terima and Captain Joramain stood on the chamber floor, next to a chained Human, not understanding the language spoken out loud. The old aristocrats, who had been the closest allies to the Rocashan Imperial Family, were almost as shocked and in horror at the recent turn of events. 
“We need to fight, wipe out the Humans before they can destroy us!” One of them shouted “They killed Abarinth, the crown prince himself! They deserve no Honor of Combat!”
“We could use them to rule the Galaxy!” another yelled. “We would be unstoppable!” 
“You are forgetting that the blood has already been spilled. We wiped out 12 of their worlds, one of which as obvious as seen by their fleet, blasted like it was a warship itself!”
“It will not be a quick and easy war! Our doctrine dictates a quick easy war.” 
“Then let us change the Doctrine!” Terima argued, shocking all. “If they did this, then they do not deserve mercy. They don’t deserve vassalage, they deserve Extinction.”
The councilors began to argue, but Tenith raised a hand, silencing them all. He gave his official statement. “These Humans will experience the full wrath of our Empire. Sure it will be putting a strain on our workers, as it will be a war longer than all that came before, but they shall be rewarded with honor. For the question of the new heir, I have sent word to my other children, they will present arguments for it, and you to decide.”
“In the meantime,” he stood up, hunched over with a look that could be described as the bloodthirsty rage from earlier, “We will win, no matter how long it takes, the Humans will Fall!”

Federal Building, New York City, Terra, May 27, 2460
The Former HeadQuarters for the United Nations, now the Federal Building for the Federal Republic of Terra, was packed tight. Outside news reporters reported what was to be the most heated debate since its founding four hundred years ago. Inside, the senators were in an uproar. The entire year up to that point had been sheer terror with the discovery of extraterrestrial life, with stories that entire worlds have fallen silent. The people asked for answers, an inquiry was launched, and now the debate begins.
First to testify was Commodore Justin Evans of the 263 Task Force, and Privatier Captain of Chronosia, Nathaniel Chase. 
“We had lost contact with other worlds on the frontier outside of Chronosia, barely any distress signals were sent out. We decided to abandon our bases, and warn the central government.” Chase began. “They began to mobilize a defense of the planet, as well as getting the civilians underground to the bunkers. When the enemy fleet showed up, we sent the distress signal to whoever could hear.” 
“What happened in the battle? Why were you all that was left?” The Senator of Avalon asked,
“We noticed that some of the ships weren’t properly defended like they were transports. We targeted them along with support from ground forces. When they were down, we began to target the other ships, but the smaller destroyers had taken out the planetary cannons, and the other warships had picked us off. I was about to be given the order to abandon ship when I blacked out. Wouldn’t come to, nor learn of Chronosia’s fate until I was on The Rosario.”
“Thank You,” President Racheal McCall said, turning towards Justin, “Commodore, you reported that the destroyers were built for mass destruction, correct?”
“Correct, Madam President,” He began, “We received the distress call from the world and responded as fast as we could. However, it was too late. We deployed our fighter squadrons just as the world was destroyed. It was as if an asteroid had struck, creating a mass extinction event on the planet. We opened fire as furiously as we could, both regular cannons and torpedoes. We took down several ships, from what we could figure, 9 Destroyers, 6 Carriers, and 4 Battleships.”
The Senator of Harmony spoke up next. “Were you able to find anything out from the enemy?” 
“Yes, Senator. We learned that they have begun translating our language to theirs, so we continued the work to learn theirs.” He said as a projector showed the wreckage of the enemy fleet, and the members of the invading forces. Evans continued, “The primary officers in charge of the fleet called themselves the Rocashan, resembling the Lions here on Terra, with sharp teeth and golden hair. Around the size of a Human, bound by tradition, honor, and strength.”
“What about the warships, could anything be told about how advanced they are compared to us?” Secretary of the Navy Patrick Hemsworth asked, concerned how far they would stand a chance against the new threat.
Commodore Evans took a deep breath, “Well, a map recovered from their ships revealed how far they span,” He said, bringing it up on the projection. “The core Empire is about the same size as us, with about 6 vassal states surrounding it on other sides. I feel it will be a long, brutal, and extremely costly war, and not because of the total size of the Empire as a whole, but rather what we found in the wreckage.” Evans brought up images of one of the Battleships that was shattered. “This is what we could identify as their Flag Ship, called The Holy Emperor. There isn’t any significant insignia that identifies it as such, but there was something else most alarming.”
He pulled out a box that was set aside and pulled out some clothing. He continued, “These are all standard naval uniforms, regardless of rank. They are all blue. Even the Admiral wore blue. However, there was only one uniform that didn’t match.” He pulled out something that to the untrained eye, looked identical. However, the color was different, and it created a stir among the Senators.
Purple. On Terra, it was never really used much except for one instance: for Royalty. More specifically, IMPERIAL Royalty. “We found this from what was the bridge of The Holy Emperor, someone of blood relation to the head of government. I don’t think that peace is an option, if not during close combat, then with this death.”
An uproar took hold of the Senate, either pro-war or against it. President McCall calls upon order for a minute before deciding what to say next.
“You said primary, what do you mean by that?” She asked
“The Rocashan are the highest officials that were in charge, but in the transports, there were members of other species, each of whom was chained up like they were forced to fight. Not even conscription could be used as a metaphor for that.” Evans responded.
Suddenly, a member of security approached President McCall and whispered something in her ear. Her face grew one with concern. She began to speak up.
“We have just received a transmission from the direction of the Rocashan.” A projection showed up. It showed a bipedal lion-like being, with ceremonial/military-like attire. With a purple predominance to boot, it also has an elegant Mane, with several clumps of grey. It is safe to assume 1. This is what a Rocashan looked like and 2. That this was the Emperor, and subsequent Father of the heir that was found. Tenith immediately spoke up.
“HUMANS!! Your Puny forces have done un-SPEAKABLE acts to our empire. Destroying our fleet is one thing, Slaughtering our troops is another, but the death of our crown prince, MY son. You are not even worthy of an honorable death. We will find Your systems, Your worlds, even Your Young can’t be saved. We have taken your youth Back with us. They will be examined and weaponized against you. Your empire will not have a merciful rule, we will take over for you. You have encouraged our wrath. War has been declared. You will not receive honorable combat. There will be no further communications.” Tenith declared, punctuating several words with an effort to make his statement more powerful.
As soon as the kidnapping was mentioned, the entire chamber was in an uproar with statements of war. Several times the order was declared, but no one even paid attention to it until several minutes after the transmission ended. Rachael spoke up after the crowd calmed down.
“I do believe a vote has to be called for, what condition should we aim for? This will be for a total war, no surrender will be likely, not even conditional ones. We will have full control of the fate of the entire thing.”
The debates and votes were held. In the end, liberating the enslaved won; however, extermination was closely followed, but thankfully, it never came to that.
The terms were set. The Great War had begun.

The Quenti Campaign, January 13, 2461 to March 31, 2464
From the onset of the first battle, it became apparent that Humanity was tactically more superior to the Rocashan forces. The borders between Terran and Rocashan were several parsecs apart, and it took a while for the Humans to cross the void, but when they did, they showed how pathetic our doctrines for fighting were. The systems to fall were from my own people, the Quenti. The Humans annihilated our forces like nothing, wiping out our navy and our armies. Under the occupation, the chains put in by the Rocashan were broken, and planetary governors, consisting of former insurgents and freedom fighters, ending slavery where possible. In the other systems, rebellion broke out. On fringe worlds, slaves refused to work, throwing off their chains, and in core systems, new freedom fighters and old government partisans clashed with the puppet regime, all while the Humans marched on. When Pross, my homeworld, was invaded, it was over for the regime. Partisans and former generals of the old government entered the grand palace and removed the monarchy that was put in place by the Rocashan, ending the Quenti Protectorate Kingdom, and marking the beginning of the provisional government, known as the Pross Citizen Republic. With that fall, the gates of the Rocashan territory were open, and the Humans marched on.

The Rocashan Outlands Campaign, April 4, 2464, to June 19, 2471
As the Terrans marched into Rocashan territory, they divided their forces into several different fronts. A central front to get to the Imperial Capital, two more groups were sent to encircle the Empire, which would then break up into a total of 5 separate forces to liberate the other vassals. The central front was actually grounded to a halt, inflicting heavy losses on Terran forces. They were well-fortified places, ordered several Emperors prior, it was imagined as a grand barrier between the borders then, and the unknown expanse of void. Effective as it was, the Humans had more than one military doctrine. They simply went around the defenses, trying to find an opening. Along the way, they freed more people of different species. The fleets of the Ceminaive Republic and Voor-Rork Consortium. While the Ceminaive made peace with the Humans and declared war on the Rocashan, the Voor’s Oligarchy decided to remain loyal to the Empire. Turns out, the Voor had a backway towards the Rocashan core systems, so the Humans moved into the territory. System by system fell, and the people, though most prosperous of the subject races, began to panic. When the Capital world of Hesi-Bein was invaded, the Oligarchy tried to flee to make a stand deeper in the Empire. They were soon found just before they crossed the border, and were executed by the population. In the wake of their deaths, a power vacuum took hold in the former territories. To restore order, the humans helped set up a provisional government, the Voor Syndicate, sort of the opposite style of government they had beforehand. With that situated, they started to pour into the core of the Rocashan Empire.

The Polaris Campain, June 20, 2471, to November 14, 2486
Once the first systems around the Voor had fallen, the Empire went into a state of emergency. Most of the fleets were recalled to protect only vital systems, Primarily the Capital and supply lines to agricultural worlds, to keep the military fed. The rest entered a state of anarchy that made the Voor look like a simple protest. The humans did their best to stabilize the regions but the core of the Empire was the same size as the Federal Republic itself, so it still took large amounts of time. Time which the Rocashan used to bolster their defences. It still wasn’t for lost, however, as word was spreading of the Empire’s failure to quell the dissidents, and the Republic’s success only spread the flames of the revolts. The Rocashan navy wasn’t idle, however. The defenses of former Outlands territory were called back under the 9 Admirals. It caught the Humans off-guard, destroying several fleets and taking back territory. It didn’t last too long, as the defenses retreated, the frontlines closed in, shrinking the Rocashan on all fronts. The two navies exchanged system and system, planet and planet. Rocashan spent most of the time on the defensive really, and kept killing the Republic’s forces. The death toll per year exceeded that of the entire Orion Campain, and yet, despite that, the Rocashan received reinforcements far quicker, they couldn’t meet the wartime effort of the Humans, which was lightning fast. It is also worth noting that like the Rocashan, the Humans also suffered a civil war previously. However, the Rocashan’s Uprising timeframe was around the same as the Napoleonic Wars, two and a half centuries before the Federal Republic was established, while the Humans ended the conflict only twenty-five years before The Great War, so conflict was fresh to them. The high commands of both militaries, desperate to break the metaphorical trench warfare happening, decided to save up several forces to break through the front and secure vital supply lines to stop the reinforcements. Under the command of 5-Star Admiral Justin Evans and Grand Admiral Terima respectively, both forces would meet in Polaris, a trinary star system the Humans use as their North Star. I remember those tense few months, hearing time and time again, how many ships were lost. As the battle came to a close, it was a devastating one. For every ship that survived, another 19 were lost. But the news came through: The Terran forces won, but only just. Evans was wounded so badly that he had to be recalled back home to spend the rest of his life in a forced retirement. Terima was killed, nearly escaping the same blast that killed Abarinth those years before. When word spread of the results, countless both celebrated and mourned as was devastating. Before Humanity could take advantage, Terim ordered a general retreat. His last vessels became stunned and responded swiftly. The Yove Technocracy signed a white peace with the Terrans and declared neutrality, and the Marathin Monarchs scared of the devastation that was to come, surrendered and recalled their forces.

The Desitor Disruption, December 1, 2486, to February 29, 2488
Things would soon get interesting as the Desitor Kobal had enough. They were the largest contributor of warships and ground troops, as well as the most loyal servants to the crown. As the losses kept mounting, anger permeated through the public and their leaders. Both at the Humans for destroying their people, and for the Empire for letting them fall to the Humans. When news of Polaris reached the foundries, barracks, and bureaucrats, the nation decided to seek revenge against both. Declaring a double war in the middle of the current one. An event that proved fatal for the Rocashan, as the primary shipyards were there, the production of new warships ground to a halt. Most of the ground forces also rebelled and began fighting both sides. The remaining Rocashan forces retreated to the capital and the Desitor had only the Humans. Without proper military doctrines, the Desitor couldn’t stand much of a chance, and in little over a single Human year, the Desitor soon was overrun, and the Republic established a pacifist government, which is still questioned for reforms today.

Battle of Rocashan, March 15, 2488 to November 24, 2488 (01/01/0000)
The day everyone waited for was the Battle of Rocashan. The Royal Guard was the only source of stability in the old Rocashan Government. It was revealed only afterward that just as the Voor fell, so too did the council, and Tenith himself. A slave revolt on Rocashan had risen up, disrupting the illusion that the planet was invincible to war. The biggest impact the rebels had was assassinating members of the Imperial Council. One by one, the old members were killed, adding further instability to the world. The rebellion was crushed, but not before dragging Tenith out from his throne room, and publicly executing him, scarring the population to the core. Despite a new heir being designated, they were off-world at the time, gathering support. The Royal Guard quickly established a military dictatorship and tried to maintain order. Just as they completed that task, The Terran forces entered the orbit of Rocashan. The Imperial fleet gave a final stand, fighting from high orbit to the lower atmosphere, but it was in vain, as barely any ship survived. The remaining ground forces also stood firm but were also overrun. Finally, on the last day of the battle, Emergency Director Joramain announced the decision to surrender to the Terrans, thus ending the war. After several weeks of sparse resistance, disagreements, and negotiations, a treaty was signed, signed between him, Ambassador Nathaniel Chase, and several other representatives, bringing an end to several years of war, and the old calendar, and marking a new era for the Galaxy.

I got an Ender V2 back in 2022 for my birthday, and have been at college for most of the time afterwards. This past summer, I had to get a new computer, and I decided now was a good time to get back into the hang of 3D printing at home. However, when I tried to use the files that came with the printer before, it would not work.

As it downloads, and pops up, and it is there on the desktop, but when I tried clicking on it to open it up, it just does a quick loading screen, and then goes out of it like it was never clicked. Also, when I check File Explorer, it looks as though it doesn't exist.

Is there an easy fix, or do I have to go to the main website to get a new splicing software?
